Just an idea we could call us "Scattered Prairie Girls".

Ladies I just went through all of our posts and consolidated all of our ideas from everyone so far.
All Missouri and Kansas Girls
• Form a chapter
• Information I'll need for each farmgirl:

Name
Address
User name
Birthday
Anniversary
brief interests, what you collect,etc.
• Scrapbook, page for each member. Each girl does her own page and mails it to Classygram/Brenda I'll make up the original book. Make up a page or two about yourself and your town and interest and add pictures to your pages. It can just be paper that lists facts/info about your area, your fav spots, stores, etc. If you want/can embelish it scrapwork style go for it!
• Start a blog
• Have a 'chapter' forum within the chapter chatter and henhouse here on the site for daily, weekly cyber get togethers??
• I think that we could all meet up on our henhouse and set up our details of the chapter and what each one's interest is.
• Then maybe try learning a new craft that one girl may like us to do.
• Maybe even start a book club where we check in each day.
• Then maybe a couple of times a year we plan a meeting to be together. That way we'd know in advance and could make plans to attend.
• Maybe even work on earning our badges.
• Places to check out: www.farmgirlsoftheheartland.blogspot.com

www.farmgirlsontheloose.blogspot.com
We can add or subtract any of these ideas.

Question ladies? We all have to join the sisterhood in order to do the chapter in the henhouse. It is a yearly membership to MJF of $20.00 each farmgirl. Is everyone ok with that? Time frames with everyone on when they could do that? Any probs with it and we can just meet here under the welcome wagon for awhile and still do all we have been chatting about!! The sisterhood sign-ups are done online under that heading.

I remember reading that there is a fee to sigh up, that is when you get the little red stop sign under your name. I think we have to sign up in order to get our badges, is that right? I'm ok with signing up.
Linda do you have the guide lines for starting the chapter?

Absolutely!! We can work anything out so all will be able to be a part of this great group of ladies! Linda I'm sorry that alot of this will fall on you when I get my surgery April 12th. But should only be a few days I hope. You all have great ideas and I'll go along with what ever you decide.

Blessings, Brenda

I love all these ideas. I live southeast of Wichita and my mother lives in Butler, Missouri. Anywhere in Eastern Kansas or Western Missouri is fine for me.

Katherine so glad to have you with us! Linda and I have been working back and forth to bring this all together. If you could send me a email with user name, real name and address, B-day, anniversary I will compile all and send out to everyone a list of all joining. That way we may want to send birthday card or anniversary card. And you may decide to make someone a penpal. Were going to try to make this fun for everyone. On April 12th I will be having back surgery and Linda will be here to answer any questions. She's a great organizer and I'll catch up on things when I get home.

Blessings, Brenda

After thinking overnight, I think I like "Scattered Prairie Gals" as a name so far but would like to see more suggestions.
Also, what does the different colored and amount of stars mean under our code name? I tried to look for an explanation.

Sorry to hear you need surgery Brenda. I hope it is not a life or death thing at this time and hoping and praying all goes well. I read the Little house tour and the way it is going up and down and our westerly trip only. the times these things will be happening do not work for the way we planned our trip. Viola and I have talked on line for one of our stops is going to be Mount Rushmore and she said she lived real close. So wanting to meet other farm girls even my dh said we would make it happen. We are hitting the road on May 13th going from Virginia to summersit Pa. ,stops in Ohio, on to Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone next stop, On to Washington State before going to Alaska. Then home again. We hope to be back home by the end of August. So the best to all of you and I am getting my pages ready for the scrape book. Thanks again to Linda and Brenda. Friends Lilly

I am jealous of your trip, Lillian, it sounds like so much fun. I am trying to get to go in June with the Farmgirls on the Loose...I have the time off, just need some more money. It will work out if it is supposed to.

Viola - we've been to the Black Hills several times. We were snowed in there over New Years one year. We will be going back this fall to the Fall Buffalo Roundup and trail ride in Custer State Park.
I love the idea of Scattered Prairie Girls Connie.
Welcome Katherine!

I think Scattered Prairie Girls is a great name. And it suits us. :)

Wow! We plan to go to the "Roundup" also. We went a couple of years ago. Here we live in this beautiful hills and we had never attended it. It was very enjoyable. Soooooo, we better meet up. We live about an 75 miles away from Custer State Part. You can also come by our house. We have a Buffalo Ranch right across from our house. So we can see the buffalo graze from our living room.

It would be fun, You have an open invitation. Love to meet a!!!!

Would you ladies like to try and get together, we are pretty close in distance. We could meet in Mulvane or where ever you would like.

I agree ladies. I am excited about whatever things we may do, in person or online. I am going to set up, I hope, our 'henhouse' this weekend. Will let you all know! BRENDA, missing you! Hope all is ok!! Connie, Katherine, Judy, how far is Yoder from all of you? And any other ladies? Have a great evening, ladies! So, are we going with 'Scattered Prairie Girls'?
