Hi all! I'm Lin and I signed up several months ago, have made so many new farmgirl friends, have done a few swaps and I'm loving it alot! I forgot to post on the Welcome Wagon when I joined, so here it is! My sister, Sharon from Papillion NE just signed up (yes, I introduced her to the "greatest thing on earth"!) and she's so excited too. I spent years in the mountains of Colorado and also the mountains of Vermont, plus 3 years in beautiful Maine. I was born and raised here in the Midwest, so came back to spend some time with family. I have a 13 year old daughter who is amazing! She is passionate about animals and helping the earth, so the two of us are absolutely loving this. We have 3 inside rescue kitties that are so sweet! I love Flea Markets and Junk Shops, antiques, Vintage, gardening, sewing, handwork, flavored coffee, and God! I'm excited to learn more about organic. I recieve Mary Jane's magazine and just bought two of her books! Thank you for such a wonderful connection!! I'm already hooked!! Hugs, Lin

Hi Karin,
My full name is Linda, but don't use it. It was "shortened" to Lin many years ago! Your daughters name is beautiful!! Do you call her Linnea or Lin? Thank you for the warm welcome! Hugs, Lin

HugeHuge Thanks to you all for your warm welcome!! Such an awesome family to have!!!

Diane, I noticed your Screen Name of "Fiddlehead Farm" and it brought back fond memories of our years in Vermont. Every Spring we went out and picked Fiddlehead, I would steam them, a little butter and indulge!! Loved them!

Judy, who is your sis???? Way cool.......TWO "Sista Acts" going on here!! What fun!! Ohio is so beautiful!

Penny, we probably aren't TOO far apart, distance wise....I'll look at a map. South Dakota always seems like a "close neighbor"!

Jessie,I love your reference to "family" because I figure we all need HUGE families and this one is such a "perfect fit"!! I love Abraham Lincoln's quote that you use with your signature. I would like to stitch that on an old cloth to frame. Hugs to all of you!!! And thank you for your heartfelt kindness! Lin

Hi Lin and welcome. Just curious if you know anyone there with the last name Gaul. I have lots of family in that area.

Hi Laura,
The name sounds very familiar, so I'll have to think a bit. It may be a friend of my daughters whose last name is Gaul. I'll ask her and email again. Thank you for the warm welcome!! Hugs, Lin

"Your daughters name is beautiful!! Do you call her Linnea or Lin?"

I almost always call her Linnea. Every so often I'll call her "Nea".

When she was REALLY little she told me once that she told someone at daycare her name was Sarah because everyone had so much trouble with her name! She's quite proud of it nowadays.

=) Karin
