Sometimes my 2 kids (4yrs and almost 2 ) can really get on my nerves and other times they crack me up! The last few weeks my daughter 22 mos has really started showing her personality. She is toyboy through and through. She eats dirt, old food with ants on it , loves to share her sippy cup with the hound dog , and has tasted crayons and playdough. When she goes outside she litteraly takes dirt baths. One day she was out side with her brother and one second she cried a little and went on playing . When I brought them in for lunch I noticed her black eye. She has had it 2 weeks and it is still changing colors! Her brother was playing inside this weekend and hit the TV stand and now he has a shiner too!
Friday evening they were playing outside and found a green washable marker. Before I knew it my son had colored stripes all over both of of them and they were crawling around growling. He said look mommy we are tigers! My first reaction was to yell my next reaction was to laugh (but I did neither). I remained calm and explained I liked his work but we shouldn't draw on ourselves or others I acted real serious but wanted to laugh so much! (I must remember if he thinks he will get mommy to laugh he may want to do it again and next time the marker may be permanent!)
At their ages right now there is constant drama or mayhem of some sort- and something I will treasure when they are older. ...some days though I just pray Lord help me !!!
I just thought I would share and maybe bring a memory back for some of you that are past that preschool stage and miss it

Oh, that made me laugh!! And it reminds me of a time when I had just given 2 of my children their last bath of the day. I went to get their clothes from the living room, leaving them sitting on the floor in my room. When I came back, which seemed like no time at all, my son had colored both himself and his sister with mascara! Everywhere!
Needless to say- back to the bath!
This same son is the one who plastered his bedroom window with "panti-liners with wings" while his dad was watching the kids. I came home from the grocery store to see this work of art full-on. It was the only window of our house that faced the street!
Kids certainly make life more interesting! Thanks for helping bring back memories!

"Look Mommy we are tigers".. Tooooooooo funny! I would never have been able to keep a straight face. One year when my oldest daughter had chicken pox, my son played "connect the dots" with a Sharpie (permanent marker)... That was funny too..
But the "fun" lasted about a week. She had to go to nursery school with her connected dots!
Kids..gotta love 'em!
