...chicken poo tea, that is! I can't wait to see if the plants like it as much as I have read they do. Anyone else applied chicken poo tea to their garden this year? Tell me how it's worked for you.

Do you have chickens Siobhan? I have never used chicken poo tea (sounds interesting though) but I have been composting... and something is digging it up??
Maybe one day we will have chickens roaming around. That would be wonderful! Fresh eggs.

I don't have chickens....yet ;) I have a friend who has some though and she gladly gave me a bucket of manure. So sweet of her. I have my heart set on chickens next year and will be doing all my reading up on them this winter when I'm stuck indoors for months LOL!
The chicken manure tea is manure in a sack steeped in a bucket of water for 4 weeks, then you fertilize your garden with a diluted (I used 4 parts water to 1 part "tea") solution.
So something is diggin in your compost? What is it after? Food scraps? Maybe some raccoons or something?

I use Chicky Doo-Doo and Llama tea on my garden. The llama tea is just like your Chicken poo tea. I bought a bag of llama beans from a local farm and make the tea the same way. So far it's working well. The chicky doo-doo I buy at a local nursery and that works good too! Only problem is my doggy seems to be very interested in it!
Age only matters if you are wine or cheese.

Oh no Siobhan! When I read the topic I thought "Oh maybe I can get some recipe ideas from Siobhan for our Ladies Tea", I think I will pass 
We've used compost tea in our garden and on our shrubs and trees, it works great. If we had any livestock or chickens I might consider poo tea ;)

Siobhan, it sounds like we will both be getting chickens next year! ( hopefully for my 16th birthday)) :)

I had no idea that you could buy chickie poo at a store! I would like to get chickens too, Siobhan, however, we do have 3 dogs-- it would be great if the chickens could be free-range but I dont trust one of our dogs.
Yes, something is definitely digging up my compost. Luckily it only seems to be the egg shells and it hasnt touch my plants....yet!
