Hi Farmgirls, I'm a newbie from Illinois and have just recently joined the Sisterhood. I live in the middle of suburbia but dream of a little farm someday (don't we all!). I try to bloom where I'm planted, though, and have raised vegetable and herb beds in the backyard and love to sew, quilt, and crochet. I have 5 children;the oldest son married,a daughter who's going to be a senior in college, another son who's going to be a college freshman this fall, and two more younger sons. As the kids get older and are one by one leaving the nest,I'm looking forward to having more time for exploring my own interests! I hope to learn lots from other women who share my desire to live a simpler and more natural lifestyle.

Lynda V. welcome!! I also dream of the day when I will have a farm. I must say that you have been busy with 5. I stopped at 2, LOL. My oldest is married and my youngest is a senior in college. Love to quilt, sew, and learning again how to crochet/knit. You will find this place a breathe of fresh air. Everyone is so helpful. Enjoy exploring all the threads, Barbara

Lynda - welcome. I grew up in Springfield, and still have family there! You will love it here, and I look forward to hearing more about your quilting, etc.
