Oh Channah...I JUST saw this! How did I miss it!? I'm sorry you're poor dog isn't doing well. You're doing such a good job caring for her though! I will definitely keep her in my prayers.
Father, we pray for Ginger the dog. I know that animals are no small or insignificant thing to You, Lord. You created them even before you made us. They were part of Your most glorious masterpiece of creation and I know they are precious and wonderful to You. So much so that Your word even says, "A righteous man regards the life of his animal." And father, that's exactly what Channah is doing. She is loving and caring for this friend that you have given into her care. She is doing everything in her power and also asking for prayer to make this dog well again. Daddy, we know that you know exactly what is wrong with Ginger and why she is having these awful seizures and we pray for a miraculous healing! We pray that the seizures will just go away and that Ginger will be her happy wonderful self again and that Channah could have many more precious days with her canine friend before her days are through. But Father, if it is time for Ginger to go soon, we know that You will care for her better than anyone because You are her creator and You know how special she is and I pray that you will give Channah a peace about it. Thank You for Ginger and the friend that she is to Channah. In Jesus' name we ask these things, AMEN.

I don't understand why your parents won't take her to a vet, I don't know what green smoothies are, but I hope it has proper nutrition in it for a dog, or they could cause more harm than good. There has to be a way to get her proper medical care, if you are still working at the pound, ask there, maybe they can help.

Thank so much Marly, Vicky, and Jewel for thinking of Ginger. :) she says thank you!
Heres the update. Everytime Ginger stood up she would have a seizure. She would have 6 seizures in one day. We have gone from 6 seizures a day to only 2! She had 2 short ones yesterday and non today when she stood up! She is getting better! She is very weak ( I'd be weak to if I was just drink green smoothies and a little raw goats milk) so she can only stand up for so long but she is so much better! She is healing from the inside out. :) She is going to the bathroom and taking the things I give her. :) Were not over it yet but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. :) Please keep on praying for her! Hugs, Channah

I do hope she gets better, but, I hope she is also getting water everyday, or she will dehydrate, and that can cause permenent organ damage and/or death.

She is Teresa. Please don't worry yourself! she is doing much better. :) We have been so blessed that we are able to treat all our animals at home. We did find a holistic vet that is 45 minutes from our house if we need to take her there. Hugs, Channah

No not a cure all, it can really help though. Their are tons of really cool articals out their about green smoothies for dogs and cats. Although with cats its a little diffrent because they can't have any fruit in there smoothies. Theirs are really cool book out their called, " Dr.Pitcairn's complete guide to natural health for dogs and cats By Richard H. Pitcairn, DVM, PHD." It has a whole bunch of little tips on how to care for your animals at home, etc.
Sorry if I used the "cure". Her UTI's have gone away and that is really good. Her arthritis has greatly improved and she has no more seizures. We are so thankful that she is getting better. Hugs, Channah
