Angie, if you're wanting to visit a sheep farm, Marr Haven is a nice one. Very small operation, but they have some awesome yarn. Also, the Michigan Fiber Festival in Allegan should be coming up in August. That is a LOT of fun and there are many of the local sheep farms in MI and IN and such represented there. Maybe we should see if a group of us MItten girls want to go to the fiber festival together. It's August 20-22, in fact and the workshops are the 18th-21st.

I'm sorry ladies; I've been out of state.
I think I'll just have to get to exploring more of this mitten of our's. I'd love to check out both festivals. Time to do some research and map out some plans! Thanks for the suggestions. I'd love for a group of us to go together.
Oh hey, A really nice lady up near Grand Rapids is giving me and antique floor loom! I'm so excited! She just never got around to using it and assures me it's been stored properly and in excellent condition! Lauri just wants it to go to a good home. I'll be driving up in the middle of the week to get it, but it may have to wait until I move to the farm to fully assemble it. Who knows, maybe I'll just take over the spare bedroom here! My husband won't know what hit him. LOL
Take care ladies!

Its great to read all from Michigan! Hope to get to know everyone here. For a get together the Labor Day Bridge walk in September- tho I would stay away from Mac city, there isnt enough space for all the walkers in the small town- planning ahead is a must. |

Oh sure! All these farmgirls in MI and none near me! I live in Highland. Welcome Angie. I'm new too. Just joined. We don't have a farm, but we have an acre and a half I want to have ducks and a goat or two on some day. |
