Hi all! Just joining in as my new bloggin' buddy said this is a great place to plant your feet! I love all the great things I have seen so far!
Hubby and I have been married 4 years and we have 3 doggies and hope to add some chickens in the spring! I am sure I will be coming here for all sorts of good advice then!
We love to garden. I "can" anything I can get my hands on. Last year I put up about 300 jars and hope to do that and more this year!
I also love to sew. It's a great winter sport, isn't it? I have been known to knit and crochet from time to time too. But cooking is my real passion. I love to keep'em fat and happy!

| Well as with good ole Chicago...it depends on traffic! HA! But you already knew that, right? I would say on a good day, about 2 hours tops. On a bad day, I don't even want to think about it! We are south of you, near 55/80. Been that way ever? |

Laura, Morris is a beautiful town and area. It is the Grundy County seat. Well worth a drive down there some weekend. It is almost an hour south of me. I'm sure Diana can recommend some great places to eat and visit.

| Oh yes! Morris has a wonderful downtown! Especially if you like neat little craft stores! And we have a few great antique stores too. They play music on the town speakers, which I think makes for a nice atmosphere. And of course there is the river! You wouldn't go hungry either. There is also a great Fabric Center if you are a sewer/quilter! If you ever get down this way, just let me know and I can give you a list of all of them! |
