My Dearest Farmgirl Sisters –
FIRST of all, hope this little note finds you all busy, well and HAPPY!
Just thought you might like to listen, between chores, to my very newest old-time Gospel song, I’d Like To Thank You
I sing I’d Like To Thank You as a quiet, simple Prayer. Listen to I’d Like To Thank You with your eyes closed and see if you agree.
Just click on this site http://www.ellenlivesay.com/id_like_to_thank_you.htm that I’ve created just for you, my Sisters, and you can play I’d Like To Thank You
The lyrics express my appreciation for all that we have with:
“I’d like to thank You For the bright & lovely sunshine, Lord For your healthy and vital Organic Good food
It was You who touched me Your grace is all I need I’m living in Heaven now Right here on Earth
I’d like to thank You For the water to heal & cleanse me, Lord My body n’ soul need your presence and Organic Good Food
It was You who healed me You provided all I need I’m living in Heaven now Right here on Earth
I’d like to thank You For Organic farmers, Lord They toil in Your rich black soil For Organic Good Food
It was You who showed the way With Your patient loving care We’re living in Heaven now Right here on Earth
I’d like to thank You People want to heal our Planet, Lord You’ve granted me a way to reveal Organic Good Food
It was You who brought us here Your beauty for all to share We’re all living in Heaven now Right here on Earth
I’d like to thank You”
I include these comments from others only because they so moved me, as an artist, with their thoughtful acknowledgement of my message:
“This is the most beautiful soothing prayer I've ever heard. It makes me feel good inside! Definitely touched by an angel. I could listen to that song all day (I have and now it's stuck in my head!). The voice and lyrics are breathtaking...thank you Ellen!” - PattyJane “The song is wonderful and gives the listener a feeling of peace and passion for Organic Good Food. Congrats on your commitment to changing the way we eat.” - Matt “I think the song is appropriate for this time in the life of our planet. Our planet is in peril and whatever befalls our planet, befalls all, both animal and humankind. Her song is soulful, brings an important message and should become iconic in our minds.” - Geri

Dear Sister ‘smiley’:
I’ve sung cover songs for several years in clubs, at parties, for benefits and special occasions. And from time to time, directed the musical arrangements themselves. My genre is ‘cool jazz standards’: Blue Moon, You’d Be so Nice to Come Home To, …
Our new Sister Laura, from Albuquerque, NM, recently posted, ‘Hello from New Mexico,’ and Sister herblady55 wrote: “Welcome to the farm Laura. Glad you joined us. “We all are either living the dream or we have a dream, but....We All Dream! Enjoy!” - Sister-chick# 905(Sept.14th 2009) Judy
Well, I too, ‘dreamed’, dreamed of writing songs but nothing struck me. I wasn’t really moved to ‘say’ something until I met my Good Food Guide, Dennis L. Weaver, in February 2008.
Dennis Weaver is the Founder of Change your Food- Change Your Life!™ Change Your Food - Change Your Life! is a FUN, high-energy ‘good health’ education company designed to inform, encourage, coach and INSPIRE people to make 100% Organic Good Food Choices, FOODS that are LIFE-GIVING, NOT life-diminishing.
Change Your Food - Change Your Life! shares The Organic Good Food News through song and story, facts and food.
I was visiting my friend, Erin Rosas, at her beautiful ROSAS FARMS in Citra, Florida, when Dennis was their guest for dinner. As my story goes, Dennis so enjoyed their ROSAS FARMS 100% Grass-Fed Organic Rib Eye Steak, prepared medium rare to perfection by Erin’s sweetie pie, The Organic Chef™, that Dennis asked me, on the spot, if I could write a song about it called Sizzle for Me.
I told him I had never written a song before. But he had so much confidence in me from our chance meeting and conversation over dinner (three hours!), and listening to a song or two of mine, that he said, “Betcha can! Betcha can!”
The Change Your Food - Change Your Life! Good Health Music Machine is designed to lift spirits, put smiles on faces, get eyes up off the horizon, empower and convince people that this thing called their own good health is well worth looking after! It’s fun. It’s easy. It’s simple! And Organic Good Foods are sooooo delish!
Dennis asked me to become a CYF-CYL! Artist Ambassador, to join the CYF-CYL! Movement, the cause!
He inspired, encouraged and challenged me to write a song that would catch someone’s ear and make that healthful difference in their life.
You can click on http://www.OrganicJazz.net and get yourself a free little Sizzle. And if you like that little Sizzle, ‘cause were Sisters, you know, don’t spend your 99¢! Just send me an e-mail and I’ll send you the Sizzle for Me Mp3.
I’ve also recently celebrated our MaryJanesFarm in song: MaryJanesFarm http://www.maryjanesfarm.com/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=42338
