Hi! I am so excited to become a part of this group. I have been getting the magazine and found the forums from there.
My name is Laura and I live in Albuquerque. My husband is active duty airforce and we have two daughters (ages 16 and 10). I have been a teacher for many years but recently decided that I wanted to be a stay at home wife/mom. I am looking forward to my new career! We are orginally from Missouri where I grew up on a hobby farm. Unfortunately, I did not appreciate it at the time. Now, however, I wish I could live on a few acres and really live the farm life.
Anyway, I am hoping to start a garden and join in on all kinds of things here. I can't wait to explore the site and make new friends!

Ellen, that was great! I may have to drive up to Taos so I can hear your music in person. Thanks so much for sharing with me.

HI Laura,
I'm a newbie too and I'm originally from New Mexico. Still have family there and come to visit several times a year. My farm is only 4 1/2 hours away from Alb. Look forward to getting to know more farmgirl sisters.
