Seed to Seed is great, so is Heirloom Gardening.

A free very informative site is www.amishlandseeds.com. Lisa runs a small Heirloom Seed Company single handedly. I have used her method of saving Heirloom seeds for two years now - it works great. I've had high germination rates.

She gives detailed instructions for saving seeds from a variety of vegetable crops - since many vegetables have specific seed saving needs.

I also use the Seed Savers Exchange, Botanical Interests, Seeds of Change, Bountiful Garden, and Salt Spring Seeds web sites to glean information.

P.S. Does anyone know how I can join the Heirloom Mavens Henhouse? Marlies

Thank you so much! I have seen the site and there is so much info my head is swimming a little. I think I need to try it just one or two veges at a time maybe.

That's a wonderful website Marlies! Thanks for the link!
If you send an email to Brian at brianogle@maryjanesfarm.org and tell him you want to join the Heirloom Mavens, he'll give you access to it....if you look at all the henhouses first and tell him all the ones you want to join, he can do them all at once!
