This has not been a good season for tomato plants. We've had to pull ours up. They were burnt from the sun, wilted, etc... We did get a few tomato's but their skins were a bit funny.

Oh, what a bummer. I'm sorry. Our weather here has been horrrible this growing year...lots of fog and damp. Tomatoes hate that! I have been getting some of my cherry ones but I doubt I'll be getting much more.
I guess there's always next year.....and the farmer's market! :)

What I need is a nice rainy day. In the beginning of the season, the tomatoes were doing so great. Our weather has been so hot, there is no way to keep up with the watering. My tomatoes are very sad and thirsty. I'm afriad I've already lost 2 heirloom varieties.

Hot here too. 107 yesterday, and that was not the heat index. My garden is just hanging on. Some of the plants are about finished producing anyway. Tired of fighting the squash bugs so as soon as it cools off a bit, I am pulling up the plants and burning them. Tomatoes and peppers are still doing good. Fighting the tomato worms in the herb garden where I have a couple of plants of the little orange tomatoes. As soon as I get another canners of tomatoes, I'll be ready for frost. We have a 30% chance of rain tonight. That is a big LOL!

Mine is all dried up too. I can't even go out there it's so hot. I did get to can 5 qts. of tomato sauce and put 4 qts in the freezer. That's about it for us. I do have 6 tomato plants in pots that need to be planted. I might plant them in a bale of straw.

Mine have blossom end rot. I think that's what it is. I had to do mine in containers this year since I knew we would be moving. I hope I can still get a few more good ones.

Mine have something wrong with them too. My Mom ended up pulling hers up and so did my Vet. I am about to pull mine up as well. We got three small ones early on but nothing in over a 6 weeks.

Beth:
We had lots of tomato's early, but then the skins on the tomato's were odd. About a month ago that was it, all the plants just turned ugly.
Hopefully next year will be better.
