Diane, that is beautiful. I am so glad I read this. So many times I don't like doing all I do. Then I read a post like this and it puts it all back into perspective. Thank you for that.
I am thankful for all the animals I have. If it weren't for them I would be a couch potato for sure. They keep me off my butt!
I am thankful for a husband who loves me no matter what. We will be married 32 years in October and he still loves me.
I am thankful for this beautiful place where we live. It is so peaceful and just plain ole beautiful. And I see different things every day.
I am thankful for a God who loves me no matter what also. And for all this beauty He has made just for me to enjoy here in this place.

I am thankful to be healthy and that my husband and children are healthy. Unfortunately I've lost my grandfather and father to cancer in 2010, so I realize and appreciate each and every day that you can wake up and live your life. It has given me an appreciation for the simple things in life and put my life into perspective about what really is and isnt important. So I guess this is an example of the "good" that has come from a bad situation. Thank you Diana for stopping to take the time to bring it to everyone's attention, of how thankful we should all be for what we have- not what we dont have! Smiles, Laurie Farmgirl Sister#1403

I am thankful for the ability to walk in the evening and enjoy the beautiful sunset God put in the sky. I feel like He painted it just for me.

I am especially thankful this week. For wonderful friends here on the MJF forum, for prayers and hugs. Also very thankful for friends close by who know about my problems.
And very thankful for freedom. I went to a Dutch concentration camp yesterday and realised how thankful we are, to be able to be alive, to be able to walk around and read about those prisoners in WWII
Hugs from Marian/Dutchy, a farmgirl from the Netherlands :)

Thank you, Diane, for reminding me to be thankful for even those 'bothersome' things I might not always feel thankful for... a wonderful way at looking at those things!
I feel thankful that I can exercise (not always something I look forward to) and move my body when so many can't.... That I can be outside in my garden, moving the way I need to to weed and pick produce when I simply have to look across the street at my lovely neighbor who can't do the same (but that's why I'm there to help her!)

I am thankful for the eyes to read this post, the ears to hear my sweet little chicks in the shop asking for more water and feed at 3 am this morning. I am thankful for one more day to give thanks and make the most I can out of the simple things that make my day worth living. I give thanks for those who did not wake this morning that they have found the peace we all so richly deserve.
Many thanks for my farmgirl sisterhood - I am truly blessed to have you to share with, cry with and be thankful with - Blessings to us all today!

What a great topic - I am so thankful for the ability to read. There are many, many adults in our country that have never learned and I cannot imagine how difficult that must be. |

Diane, very nicely said and so true. We take a lot for granted. The daily tasks we sometime feel are a burden are the main things in life that keep us grounded and real. It all goes back to the best things in life are the simple things in life.
I am thankful for God giving me the strength to get through troubled times. I am thankful for being employed and healthy in mind and body to work. I am thankful for my mother who at 81 is my friend and inspiration to never give up.
Everything has it's time. |
