Time for me to re-order wrapping paper for my handcrafted soap. For five years I have always used bulk tissue paper but now I am wondering if I should switch to "meat" wrapping papers...It is a heavier, sturdier wrap---Any suggestions?
Melody, I use the brown shipping wrap from one of the office stores. Not Office Depot but the other one that starts with an S. It comes in a big roll and it's got holes in it. Like it stretches. Anyway, it makes a pretty wrap with raffia tied around it. I have also used pretty fabric and just rip it and use a ribbon to tie it.
Try going to your local newspaper and see if they have end rolls of newsprint paper that you can get cheap. I buy the end rolls here for $1.00 each. They used to be free but I have to place an order for them to be brought to the town I live in now. There are miles and miles of paper on those rolls. I use it to wrap everything!

debbie is so right about the paper that the news comes on. no SMEll clean white paper on end rolls. used it to wrap stuff to move. it doesnot make me sick. used to be free. now with so many leaving their homes i have to get in line for it too. may i say it makes the best paper for the GKs i roll it out on the floor and across the room. they draw paint run on it. then we turn it over and use the other side. i have a roll i have had for the kids that has lasted 6 years. 6 years of grandkids coloring. use it here for lots of things. happy days sherrye
