Hello... I'm so excited to be back here! It's been a really long time since I've been here.. it's got to be at least a couple of years. I've been subscribing to Mary Jane's Magazine and every time I pick it up I miss the blogs and the people here dearly.
I turned my world upside down and finally found my user name and password and here I am!

My name is Cindy and I live in rural Arkansas. I own a little five acre farm in White County. It was one of those "it has potential" which really means it's too nice to bulldoze but not good enough to live in. After six years it's shaping up.

I have four kids..my eldest Michael recently joined the Coast Guard and is going to Kodiak, Ak at the end of the month. I also have two high schoolers and 1 kid I'm homeschooling.

I'm married to my love, Brad, who is disabled with Congestive Heart Failure and RSD.

I've been going through a really rough patch in life these past couple of months and I have found my only source of strength is Mary Jane's magazines. I simply fall into them and regret when I have to put it down to get back on the clock at work.

I try to find things to smile about everyday.. usually my dogs, cats, or chickens provide the humor.

So I'll be around more often..and I promise to smile more often! I won't cry in my tea here.. well unless it's really bad.. but so far everything life has thrown at me has taught me I have a spine! Must be the Arkansas water.
Love ya all,
Cindy

Welcome Cindy,
Here's hoping that you'll find support and comfort here as well as in the MJF magazine. This is a wonderful supportive place with many kind, bright, resourceful women. If you haven't already, check out the supportive thread for caregivers, find homeschooling friends and just count us as your sisters. For starters here's a welcome from Minnesota.

Thank you Susan for the welcome. I will be exploring the site slowly as I do the MJF magazines. Each page I pour over and take in everything. I was asked by a guy at work how could I keep looking at that magazine.. I asked why? He said he would be hungry all the time looking at all the food.

I'm happy to be back.. and Susan you are a part of the reason why!

Welcome girlfriend! I too live in AR but I am a transplant from Iowa. I wish I lived rural like you! I live in Izard County....where is White? Hang in there sweetie and know you have a friends here. I have had a rough summer and if it wasn't for MJ's chatroom I would never talk to anyone hardly! I go for weeks without any contact and I live alone with my "girls"...2 dogs and a cat. It's a long story how I got down here but it's been a blessing in many ways. Have a great day and hope to see you "chatting it up" here more often.

Welcome Cynthia! I haven't been here as much lately either. I think I need to re-introduce myself here. I'm glad to see you and look forward to getting to know you better.

Thank you for all the welcomes!! Wow.. I feel hugged! Sandra.. I'll have to look up Izzard.. we've only lived in Arkansas for about six years.. six very long years. White county is about an hour north of Little Rock. Looking at a map you are way up there! I have several aunts and a few cousins that live within a few miles of me but we don't agree on a few important to me topics like how to treat your animals.. so we don't talk often. I spend a lot of time talking to my four legged children and I really have no friends.. I'm a little too different.

Thank you Laney and Kristen.. I use to live in Texas (Houston, Austin, Lockhart, Port Author..) and I've lived in Georgia (McIntosh County). My favorite place to live is Louisiana.. that's where we lived before coming to Arkansas.
Hey Lainey.. welcome back too! Right now we don't have TV so my internet and here is my community. It feels good talking to others that you have a common thread with.

Hope to talk to all y'all more in the near future!
