Wow! I get to be the first - of many, no doubt - to welcome you. Do you live on a large farm or something a bit smaller? What are you biggest passions: gardening, needlework . . .?
You probably know we all love many different aspects of being farmgirls. Welcome! Marianne |

Hi Marcia,
I'll bet it's very beautiful where you live. I was born in Northern Illinois and I have a niece who lives in Central Illinois (she's married to a farmer). Of course, I visit as often as I can. Like Carol, I too hope that you will tell us more about yourself and your part of the world.

Sorry i took me so long to get back with you all but i have been very busy with the holidays coming and my pampered chef busniess. I love living in the country. We have a small farm but no animals YET but we are getting some in the spring. We thought we had better wait till it is warm. We will get some chickens and the kids want some goats or sheep and my daughter wants some pigs and rabbits. I would love to get some cows i just love cows. I also like taking pictures and planting herbs, i love herbs. I have no garden but herbs. I don't think i could ever live in the city. It is just so beautiful out in the country and so quite and we just love it.
Snowed in with nothing to do but bake! I am gonna get soooo faaaaattt. LOLOLOLOLO

Welcome from the rocky hills of Vermont. When the descendants of the early settlers depleted the land here in Vermont they moved from here to start farms out where you live.
We have a few inches of snow. Enough for the baby to slide but not the bigger children. Hoping for feet more. Think you could send it our way? We love snow. :)

Marcia, howdy from SE Kansas! We're planning for an herb garden in the near future, can't wait! And chickens too I hope...but those will be a few more years down the road. And I agree, wouldn't trade country living for ANYTHING!
pssst...you can keep the snow. Hehe

Welcome Marcia - My name is Cheryle but my friends all call me Missy. I too live in IL but not on a Farm in the burbs actually. I can't wait to hear about all of your activies this spring and hope you will have time to tell us about the new goings on at your farm. Blessings to you in this New Year.
