To emsmommy5, not quite sure what you meant but being "under-confident" to wear the fashions, but for me, it means loving the junk gypsy style but feeling too old and to overweight to wear that style. I'm not a "buy off the rack" kind of gal. I don't want to look like everyone else and change fashion every season. I feel I am (or maybe want to be more) quirky, want something that says I'm fun to be around, and have folks say "oh, that outfit is so YOU"!
I'm 53 years old and have that "can't lose this menopausal weight" figure. Am I too old to wear the clothes and be the unique person I want to be?
I'm glad I've returned to the MJF chatroom---been gone too long and miss the "girl talk"!
