Hi all!
I just wanted to let all of you know that I have so enjoyed this month, have appreciated your very kind words and have just felt so honored to have been chosen to be this month's Farm Girl. And with that, I am passing the apron off to Erica (LeighErica).
I was so touched by Erica's post about her upcoming move in the midst of sending her darling husband off to serve for a year. What a sacrifice! But even so, she has had time to encourage others on these forums, giving advice and personal experience along with kind words.
So, Erica, enjoy your month! You deserve it. And God bless you and your family!!

Dear Mary Beth and all my fellow Farmgirl Friends,
I am in shock!! Never in my life have I have been awarded anything so meaningful and dear. I sent an email to Mary Beth this morning, but my email letter came back undeliverable...but this is what I wrote to her.
"Dear Mary Beth,
I am in shock....I got up at 5:30am and read this and I don't know what to say!! I haven't been a farmgirl for very long, just a few months....and I haven't been very active lately on the forum, so this is a surprise...but oh so wonderful!!! You have no idea how you have made me feel...overwhelmed with emotion and very, very honored. Then I was going to think about what to say, even write to you asking for time to think about it...and I go on the MJ forum and you have already posted me as the new May Farmgirl:) I guess I can't think about it...hahahaha! Are there any special things I must do for the month of May? My heart is so touched right now....this past month has been such a roller coaster ride for me...I won't get into specifics, but your gift has made me feel like everything I go through is so worth it. Thank you so much....hugs, hugs, hugs, my dear Farmgirl Friend, Erica"
Thank you again, Mary Beth and all the Farmgirls, for your support, love, advice and caring. I will always remember this morning for the rest of my life. I still have so much to learn and do as a farmgirl...my steps at this point are extremely small baby steps...but they will keep moving forward, each and every day!! Thank you so very much!!! Oh Mary Beth you could not have picked a better farm girl of the month than Erica, she is so deserving. She has been through a lot these past few months and now will send her hubby off to Afghanistan and move her family back to PA all by herself.
Erica sweet girl congratulations you are so deserving of this and it came just at the right time don't you think? Have fun and enjoy the honor.

Oh Erica, congratulations! Your post about the move and your DH, moved me more than I can say. I was having a hard time with things here, and while moving and getting our new home ready, I feel into a Pitty party. I read your post, and it pulled me out. What a wonderful surprise for you Erica! congrats...now for a bit of advise...i just sent my hubby off again, his 1st was iraq & now Afghanistan....so though I am not moving just remember what doesn't get done today can be done tomorrow....label all boxes really well...don't forget to hold out the things you will need during & just after the move...Family first always, the boxes, wrapping, loading ect take 2nd to family needs even if it just a hug & word they need....Remember you are only 1 person so take care of yourself...don't push yourself to the point of tears, anger or hopelessness.....We will all be rooting for you during this time & have you & your family in our thoughts...again congrats on the May Farmgirl honor....your military wife hen...Michele'

Erica! Congratulations! I know it is terribly humbling to receive this honor, but others feel you are the greatest. With all going on around you, this bright spot in your life is just one thing to hang on to while your husband is away. It is very brave of you both to serve our country as you are. Thank you! | Oh my goodness...never in my life have I ever been showered with so much love and support!!! Becky, my 12 yr old, is so happy for me!! She thinks this is so cool:) I just can't thank you all enough for how you have brightened my day and the upcoming month!! MaryBeth, you made a wonderful "pick" for May's Farmgirl of the month. I totally agree with you. We sometimes take for granted our everyday lives, and its easy to "forget" the sacrifices that others make so that we can live in Peace.
