Hi girls -

I just returned home and found this email from Annette, HeartbrokenFarmgirl, in my inbox:

"Nini,

Please help. Can you post for prayer for our family. My precious gather just had a terrible accident. His Case tractor slipped out of gear, and while he was working on it, it ran him over. My enormous 400lb FIL, is gone! Oh gosh, Nini, I'm desperate. Ny husband! My babies! I don't know what to do.

I can't post right now. I can't think. I just know he wasn't saved, and he's gone, and we need prayer!!

Thank you so much

Annette"

Please pray for her and her family - I feel so bad for them!

Thank you, sisters!

Hugs -

Nini

Was this her father in law that had an accident? I am not understanding the email. But I will be praying for her family.

Thank you all so much. We are all still in shock. We were on our way with the kids to go stock the camper, because on the 25th, my DH's birthday, we were going to the mountains with my FIL. My daddy called. He said things were not good on the farm. I unpacked the kids, and raced with my DH to the farm. Yesterday was unbelievingly confusing. Please continue to pray. Only my 13 yo knows. My DH and I have to tell our other 3 little ones this morning. It's all still surreal.

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

Thank you all so very much, from the bottom of my heart. Your prayers are being heard, I know I feel our Comforter here, always.

Please continue to pray. It's 3:30 am here, and my DH is on his way to work for his first day back. His job is dangerous. He has to be 100% on the water with that equipment. Yesterday was his birthday, and while obviously no one wanted to celebrate, we had a much nicer day than we imagined. With four kids, three very little, we are trying to find our "new normal" so to speak.

I'm also asking prayer for a disgusting issue. My husband is an only child. We can't find the will. In 2008, my FIL wrote it, had me proof and type it. I didn't save a copy because he asked me not to let my DH, or MIL see it. My MIL is a gamble-holic. The will gives all to my DH. Stipulating my DH provides for my MIL. We can't find a copy of the will, and we can't find his attorney. My MIL is talking already about selling, farm, equipment, homes...and aunts, uncles, and cousins are swooping in like vultures!!! My DH hasn't been able to mourn, he is stuck fighting. Sometimes, we are so sick by it all, and so tired of fighting, we want to give up, but this farm has been "Malvin and son" what my sons make the fifth generation. We know my FIL would not be okay with it being sold and squandered at the casino. It is all so heartbreaking.

I thank you all again for your continued prayers. And praise God for His faithfulness.
*ps, I am so sorry for all the typos in the email Nini posted for me. My phone has an auto correct and I was just standing next to the tractor, desperate to help. I sent it, because prayer was all we could do, but the email was hard to read, so I apologize. On a side note, it looks like my FIL had a heart attack. As he felt ill, he turned toward the house. Things got increasingly worse, so to try to get help, he put the 3ton Case in gear, turned a blinker on, and aimed straight for the front door. There was a cyclone fence around the hard, and like most farmers, he drove the tractor with a door open. As he hit the trees, and fence line, the jostel was too much, and he fell just in front of the rear tires. He made no foolish mistake. The tractor, after investigation, CANNOT slip into gear. He didn't go without a fight! My MIL was able to spend his last few seconds with him. He survived both heart attack and tractor, so he could say goodbye. She was able to hold his hand, and he didn't die alone. Please ladies, for your DH's, please tell them this story. Ask them to close the door!!! My father in law started farming at the age of 8. He was running this farm full time for 52 years. He was 429lbs of sheer bone and muscle(and a belly). He was no rookie. He feel out! I emplore you, to ask them to close the tractor door. Every one of our neighbors, are closing their tractors, and having employees do so too, out of reverence to the loss of the pillar of this itty bitty town, but its so much more than that. It's so much safer. I flip out now when we pass farms with the doors open. I hate to see the tractors and harvesters in the main road, and their door is open!!!

God bless each one of you for all your loving support.

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

Oh, Annette - this is so sad. I'm so sorry for your loss and the struggle that is following! When it seems like the world should come to a complete stop, we still are forced to go through the motions and try to move on. How painful. I'll continue to pray, of course! Please check the law in your area. Not every state mandates that property of the deceased automatically goes to the spouse, sometimes it legally goes to the children instead. It's a sticky situation, but in times like this, it's super duper important to know the law. It's so hard, I know. Hugs - Nini

Oh, Annette. How my heart breaks. I am thinking of you and your family and you will be constantly in my prayers.

Is there a community based legal assistance office you can call? If for nothing else, just for direction on where to go from here in your situation. Perhaps your state's Attornery General's office?

You are not alone; there are angels and hugs all around you.

Darlene

Annette, I am just so sorry to hear of your beloved FIL's accident and death. When it happens so fast, our minds have a terrible time taking it all in so suddenly, and it is really normal to feel like its all surreal. And after a death, it always shocks me how like vultures people can become leaving the ones so bereaved no time for their grief. I truly hope that you can get this will business settled and have time to find peace with your loss. *Hugs*

You are your family are in my prayers and thoughts

Love and light
