I know I can not be the only 40 something farmgirl with young kids still at home. My husband and I are both early 40's and our kids range in ages from 6 to 16. I traveled a good bit after college visiting friends who live in Europe so I started the family a little bit later than some of my peers. So what is your story. I would love to know.
Suzanne, Turtlemoon started a thread titled "Farmgirls in their 40's" int the Welcome Wagon area. I just bumped it up so you should be able to find it easily. There are lots of sisters in the 40's age group including myself.
I don't have kids of my own but really enjoy spoiling nieces, nephews and my boyfriend's little grandson.
I also travelled alot after high school. Spent 3 months as an exchange student in Germany, then travelled solo for 6 months in Europe. Worked for a few years and then took opportunities to visit Jamaica, Costa Rica and Peru. Now I enjoy working with a youth exchange program where I arrange exchanges for high school students - it helps keeps my travel bug in check!
Welcome Suzanne, from another mid 40"s farmgirl. I live on Long Island, in New York and have 2 children- an 11year old daughter and a 13 year old son. You will find so many like- minded ladies here of all ages- its a great place to be! Smiles,
~Laurie "Little Hen House on the Island" Farmgirl Sister#1403
