The older I get the colder I get. I used to be so hot when I was little I hated coats, literally could NOT wear turtle necks, hats, or scarves, all made me feel waaaaaaaaay too hot no matter how cold it was, I just felt like I was suffocating. Now days though I can bundle myself from head to toe and still be cold! I wore long unders, and a long skirt today and boots and my legs were still cold. I am thinking I need leg warmers now too. What kinds have you all tried. I don't know weather to go with the ones from Vermount Country Store, Etsy, or just go to Target! Which have you tried? Which would you buy again?

I usually make mine...my favorite yarn, crochet to the length of my calf, make enough rows for it to go around. :) I'm not usually impressed by the ones in the stores, so why not?
A hook, a book, and a good cup of coffee.... |

| You can also make leg warmers out of an old wool sweater. Just felt the sweater and cut out the arms on the top. Blanket stitch for a cute decorative top and bottom. If you want longer ones, go for a men's wool sweater. Can also make wrist warmers out of the bottoms of the sweater arms too. You can find instructions on-line at various sites. |

I just knitted an easy pattern of leg warmers and sent them to my daughter in ASheville, NC. She used to have several pair in the late 1990s so when I saw this pattern, I went for it. She loves them and told me she even wore them to work this week over tights with a skirt. Her friends are so envious! I think you can easily make some up with crochet or knit patterns and I love the idea of old sweaters too. And when you make them, you can be so much more creative!
Have Fun!
