So neat how we can personalize so many things these days! Do you have a personalized ringtone on your mobile phone, and if so what is it? Mine is also my alarm clock, so I hear it each morning. Hubby got tired of "Halo", so now it is The Monkees' "Daydream Believer"...which gets a groan and eye roll from DH every morning.

Right now, its the old fashioned telephone ring. Im thinking of changing it though.

My honey set it to the song of a Meadowlark :) The only trouble is come Spring and Summer I can't tell if it's my phone ringing or the Meadowlarks outside :)

| I chose the least obnoxious tone that came with my phone-I don't use my phone that often-it's basically just a way for the kids/school to reach me in an emergency...but I do like the old school telephone ring tone. |

CJ - I do that, too. My DH's ringtone when he calls is the Top Gun theme - it came out the year we were married and is his favorite movie. If it is my mom, it rings "church bells", and if it is my brother it's "Hill Street Blues Theme" since he is a policeman. :) My dad rings and it is a duck quacking (like at his farm). At Christmas, my ringtone changes to Burl Ives "Holly Jolly Christmas". Everything/everyone else, it's the Monkees. :)

Mine is the old fashioned phone too. It's lound and startles the daylights out of me so I answer right away.
Have only had a mobile since December and still getting used to carrying the thing.
I still leave it at home sometimes.
With all the ringtone possabilities out there, it's hard to choose. The one my father has for me on his phone for when I call is the chicken dance. That's funny!

I am silly enough to use the T Mobile tone. So if a commercial comes on tv, I get up to find my cell ... need to change that.

I used to use the old-fashioned bell ring tone, but it always made my dogs howl when my phone rang, so I had to change it to some kind of jazzy tune that came with the phone.

My normal ring tone is the theme from Pirate's of the Carribbean.
Others:
For hubby - A song called My Best Friend
For son - a sound clip from a tv show of the kid saying Mom in various ways
For my dad - a song that sings: Your dad is calling you...and goes on
For my mom (whom I don't really get along with) -
"It's your mom calling, what does she want?"
I love to customize my phone!!!! I use a program called Zedge to find fun ringtones, wall paper and notifications.
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.

Nicole, Monkees tones are always the right answer!
I am still figuring out how to set up ringtones on my new phone, but my old one had everything according to the caller. (Unlike Ric, who uses Star Trek: TNG for everyone!) Mister gets Depeche Mode, my cousin gets Lordi, my sister gets Reba McEntire, little brother gets Coldplay (he hates it, but agreed that "Viva la Vida" was a fitting song). Everyone else gets "Immigrant Song" just so my phone rings with a battle cry.
I happen to know that my ringtone on virtually everyone else's phone is either "Cheeseburger in Paradise" (my favorite song) or the theme from "Ghostbusters" (favorite movie). I can live with that. 
A hook, a book, and a good cup of coffee.... |

| My husband and I use a recording of the American Robin for each other's special ringtone. We raised an abandoned baby Robin a few years ago. (We called him "Birdbrain.") Now that we have Bluebirds taking up residence in the boxes we nailed up for them a million years ago (Wrens always got to them first, but not this year!), we're thinking of switching. I love the look on people's faces when my phone rings. Sometimes they look up as if expecting to see birds flying around the room. :) |

middle son- jake was a dirt poor farm boy
youngest son-race car sounds, could not find a song with his name in it. Race car sounds is for a speeding ticket he had gotten! |

I am kinda embarassed to say but it is Highway to Hell by ACDC because I like the opening riff. If Hubby calls it is Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppling and if my BFF Sista Cousin (that is one only person) it is Meet Me Halfway by the Black-Eyed Peas.
