Our pastor is leaving for Sweden in a couple weeks (sabbatical) and will be back in August.
Guess who gets to "babysit" his mandolin while he's gone?
Yep, ME!!
I've wanted to learn to play mandolin for three years now but haven't ever gotten around to it - its hard to justify spending $$ on an instrument when you're not sure if you'll really like it or even be able to really play it. Well, I was at our new church last Wednesday night (we've been going since January) with my guitar working on some hymns with him and we got around to talking about instruments...turns out he plays mandolin (among many other things) and he said I could borrow his mandolin while he's gone for the summer.
Oh. My. Gosh. I'm so excited!!
