I would like to trade some of my vintage sewing patterns (clothing) from the late 50's through the 70's for something else vintage. I really love magazines and cookbooks from the 50's and earlier. Please let me know if you'd like to swap and I can let you know the pattern numbers and send pictures.

Kristen,
Do you have any apron patterns from the 50s? If you do, could you send me pictures?
Thanks!
CJ

Oh! Oh! I want, I want!!! :)

I have a bridal mag from the spring of 1955. Its in semi good shape.
I was going to ask for apron patterns too, but I was a minute late.
If you could just post a pic of anything you have from the 50's I'll take a look. :)

Hi, CJ!

I don't think I have any apron patterns. I am checking when I get home from work tonight for someone else that emailed me to see if I still have one I used to have from the 1940's, but I think I may have sold that when I used to have an Etsy store. But if by chance I find any apron patterns in my stash and there are more than one, I'll let you know!

Sorry Fran, you must've responded when I was responding to CJ, because I missed your post. Do you have any other cool things to swap? I can post pics too of the patterns tonight if you want me to. :)

Lol, Fran, I also missed the first part of what you said. The bridal mag sounds wonderful - I'll post pics of the 50's stuff tonight.

No, prombles! I went back & edited when I remembered the bridal mag. I always have neat stuff to part with, I also have two "Better Homes & Gardens" sewing books from the late 70's. One is on patchwork & quilting and the other on applique.

I have almost no patterens from the 50's so post your pics and I'll hunt down whatever is needed to get some! :D

Hey, ladies,

I'm sorry I have no apron patterns, but here are pics of all the patterns I do have (roughly grouped by decade and type), plus a few more that I dug up. I would take items in trade other than just vintage items - do you make or have anything else you'd like to trade? Or if you don't have anything to trade, that's okay too - just let me know which one you want and message me with your address. :)

Can I get the "Advance" pattern with the blue and brown dresses in the left 2nd from bottom pic. The wrap dress pattern in bottom right pic & the two dresses with bib like tops in the right 2nd from bottom pic?

I'll trade the 1955 brides mag and some other things for them...Off the top of my head I can't really think of anything else...I have some bracelets I made to sell awhile back that Iam not doing anything with. I can root around a bit for something. What all do you like?

Sure, Fran - I'll pull those out tonight! I'll take whatever you'd like to trade - I'm not picky and I like surprises. :) I like bracelets, too, but I do have scrawny wrists (wish I had a scrawny waist instead lol), so I always have to get them a little smaller than what "normal" people wear. Just the magazine would be fine, too.

Can you send me a message with your address? I'll try to send these out by Saturday, or Monday at the latest, with the other Farmgirl mail I'm sending out.

You're welcome, CJ! I'll keep my eye out at the thrift stores and let you know if I ever find any good ones. :)

Yay! Thanks, Kristen!
I also have scrawny wrists, so I should have something that fits you. :D
I'll probably mail the package out on Friday or Monday, so no rush.
