Morning Farmgirls!

I have not been on here as often as I'd like. Missed you all.

Anyway, I'm so happy....the birdhouse hanging on the corner of my deck over my rocking chairs that I fixed up in my blog (read here: http://sfgblog.maryjanesfarm.org/default.asp?Display=74) is now getting new residents. There is a mama bird busy making a nest in it as we speak. I am so thrilled! When those babies are born, we will hear them chirp when we sit outside on the porch. She's got a nice, clean and freshly painted home to have her eggs in. So sweet!

Farmgirl hugs,

Nicole

I love to hear the sounds of baby birds chirping for their mom or for food. Let us know when you hear the chirping.

Guess what - It's Bluebirds!! We have always gotten house finches. This year there are a male and female pair of bluebirds. If I can snap a pic I will.

We put up, so far, six little birdhouses. Little finches are moving in. I hope they fill all the birdhouses. Our winter was mild and this summer we need the little birds to eat the bugs. There is a fellow in town who makes simple birdhouses and I think we need about five more. Put them up around the barn.

How exciting Nicole!
I just love it when you put up a new house and you get residents so quickly. Rent must be "CHEEP"! (pun intended....get it CHEEP!)
I know- corny farmgirl humor, but couldnt help myself.
Enjoy the lovely Bluebirds!
Hugs,
