While cleaning out my father-in-law's home, we found 9 fairly large tanned deer hides. My hubby wants to sell them, since we really have no use for them.

But while looking on the web, the prices varie soooo much I am not sure what to ask. Is there a common pricing for something like this?

Everyone here is such a wealth of knowledge, I appreciate getting infor.

When I worked for Tandy Leather they priced by the 12 inch square......I would recommend going to their site once you have measured yours to get an idea of whats a fair price for them....even though the pelts aren't truly square you to not measure the odd shaped that dip in & out for like the leg areas you measure top to bottom then from the widest side to the other widest side......Hope this will help you...also the price is different for on hair pelts & truly non haired tanned pelts ( more expensive due to labor removing the hair)....Michele'
