I posted several pictures today of my attic. Been up there working. taking a deep breath and packing things up for charity. I have a very big attic so what you are seeing is such a small part. But I'm making good progress in down sizing the contents. Just last month I sent out a big load. You have to ask yourself, do you love it? can you use it? Sometimes that works.
I love the Blue Willow ware but especially the ironstone pitchers, which I collect. I told hubby this week that I wanted a shelf put up over the windows and cabinets in the kitchen to display them so that I could get rid of the two display cabinets in the dining area. I'd also put up some of my smaller baskets on the shelf. I've downsized tremendously in the past few years but some possessions satisfy my soul and I can't get rid of them. The white pitchers make me smile everytime I remove one to serve milk, syrup, etc. at the table or to put fresh flowers in. All our possessions should make us happy, don't you think?
"I've wept in the night for the shortness of sight that to someone's needs I've been blind; but I've yet to feel a twinge of regret for being a little too kind."
My goodness, Nancy! Lots of wonderful stuff. I don't have an attic . . . just a "crawl space" up there. No chance of things accumulating there and that's probably a good thing. Have fun sorting and saving! CJ
