My Sister In Law took me too an Ikea Store today. I have never been to one. I really liked it. Has anyone else been to Ikea? I found some really good bargains for my Son's new Home. Happy fun day shopping .

I moved to Detroit metropolitan area, and when my kids came to visit last year, that was on their list of places to go. It is about 50 minutes from my house, so I had never visited (We are in downsizing phase, not aquisition phase) I could not believe how big it was, and how many cool things it had. I would have spent a lot more if I had given in to all my impulses. By the time we went through the whole place I was exhausted. It is a very large store.

My DH and I installed an IKEA kitchen and love it. We saved alot of money buying their cabinets. Very well engineered. I love the place for fun decorating items and inexpensive things to try out for craft projects.

My Daughter just moved to SEattle area is so fond of the IKEA store. She said they sell everything there, except a car big enough to get the goodies home in!

I love Ikea! I live about 10 minutes away from the Seattle store. Although I enjoy shopping the entire store, my alltime favorite area is the food market and restaurant...their gravlox, meatballs, gravy and lingonberry sauce are to die for! I have lots of Ikea furniture in my house. When we get around to remodeling our bathrooms and kitchen I will definitely be shopping there.

LOVE IKEA!!! We have bought things there, off and on, for almost 30 years. Very good quality----and prices! Their food is delicious as well. If we go to a store, we always eat there. Wish we had one close by.

We have one near to us in West Chester, Ohio (about 45 mins. north). I've been once and I enjoyed it, and I liked the restaurant, too. I'm heading up there when we come back from vacation to buy my little one a duvet for her "big girl bed". They're not that expensive and they have such great bedding. I do find, though, that things are a bit modern for my tastes--there are some more traditional things, but not in the furnishings or stuff I need :)

Never been to an Ikea. I hear lots of nice things about them. I have a friend who works for them.

My husband won't allow me to go anymore. The last few times we went we dropped around two hundes dollars each time and as much as I love it we are being good and not going for financial reasons for now. We have stuff in about every room from Ikea and love it all.

My husband always jokes around that we can't get out of there for under $100....too many neat things. Love the restaurant. Lucky for us the Seattle store is far enough away that I don't go too often!!

I just started working for IKEA! For a big box store they treat their people really well. Their whole corporate model is built around trying to be more efficient in terms of shipping and getting the stuff to the customer which ends up making them much more earth friendly than most places half their size. And, the products are about ten times more classy looking, it's dangerous being around it all because then I want it, especially the kitchen stuff!

I have found many good quality items at IKEA. We always take the time to have a bite to eat. I just wish they would build a store closer to the North end of Colorado so it would not be such a long trip...

Heather, the contractor I worked for during summers all through college swears by Ikea products. He's been remodeling houses in the area for years and before the Centennial store opened his whole family would drive out to Salt Lake City for every house he did and come back with a trailer full of everything he needed for the kitchen, bathroom, everything. He said it was worth the trailer rental, lodging, and gas money because to get the same things from somewhere else would be even more. That's a bit extreme but *shameless plug* we also have surprisingly decent delivery rates that are flat rate whether we're delivering a box or a truckload.

That IKEA in West Chester is close to where I grew up! Sad to know that all that area used to be farmland.
We had thought about using them for our kitchen, but the one in Charlotte, NC would have charged too much for shipping.
Leave your plastic and wallets at home- 'cause something will always jump into your cart weather you think it's needed or not!!

I love the Ikea stores. When my son was living in Philadelphia we went to both of their stores, while I lived in Texas I went to the one in Dallas, and a month ago I went to the one in West Chester to get storage for my sewing room. And also meatballs and lingonberry sauce! We're going to be remodeling our kitchen and I'm thinking about getting my cabinets there.
