I've been working on badges for a couple years and I have a question about the Family Beginner Badge. I don't have any children so earning some badges are difficult for only my husband and I to complete. I've hosted extended family game nights every few months for a couple years, most recently on Tuesday. I plan the games, cook the food, etc. Could I use this to earn the Family Beginner Badge or does anyone know of any fun non-electronic games (my husband hates card games) that actually work well and are fun for only two players? I'll I've been able to think of is Mancala and Connect Four and don't really lend themselves to an entire night of gaming.
Have you played Apples to Apples....it's cards but different. Not like playing cards. We played it with some friends on New Years Eve and it was fun. Kind of hilarious too.

Mandy, Mexican Train is a fun game, using dominos. We play it a lot with our daughter and son-in-law when we visit them, using double-12 dominos. I'll bet you can get instructions on how to plan online somewhere. It's easy and fun! CJ
