Ladies,

I am making a wonderfully rich braised beef short ribs dinner for some friends for a birthday celebration soon. It is pretty heavy with a rich sauce and served in a big pasta bowl over mashed potatoes - a gut buster.

My usual dessert after something heavy like this is sorbet, but I'm looking for some new ideas.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance-
Cindy

I often make a Lemon Ricotta cake and serve it with a Raspberry Sauce. If you would like the recipe let me know and I will post it for you :)

I think a combo of those two suggestions will be ideal - the lemon ricotta cake with raspberry sauce and some fresh raspberries. Yum! I would love your recipe - thank you for being willing to share.

For me, chocolate is the blue jeans of the dessert world....it goes with anything. But, I'm also a chocoholic.

Your sorbet that you usually do is good...cold and sweet with just a bit of tart. But that lemon cake sounds yummy, too. Aw, heck, just have it all!

One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt.
