Does anyone know why this happens? These hens are 15 months old. Four different breeds in the same pen, four of each. I wondered if it might be feed. The eggs wash clean and are fine, but it hurts my heart to know they are struggling g to lay their beautiful eggs.

Hmmm, this one has me stumped. I've had hens have singular incidents but not multiple hens at a time. If the girls seem healthy otherwise, it's probably nothing to be alarmed about.
I hope you figure it out and they do well.
