                      | Thank the only thing that is reading my fitbit right now is my phone. And that app doesn't connect to friends at fitbit. One day I will be the ruler of my computers again as it is it seems they have a grudge against me.

                      | Thanks CJ. I just noticed that my battery has been dead for a couple of days, will get it charged up and back online soon! Thought my text notifications seemed rather quiet this week!
 Cheers! ~ Marilyn

I am still struggling to get my fitbit to sync witn my tablet, and it is not crazy about my husband's laptop either, but i just keep going, haha. Some days it doesnt say nearly as many steps as i have taken, and i havd a hard time getting it to let me log activities tooo. Sigh. But i plan to really work o the weekend warrior challenge around the rain. If anyone else wants to friend me, please do.

                      | I am Happy to be Friends with anyone on MJF who wants to friend me on Fitbit! Some times I do not think my Fitbit Charge calculates all my steps either. I
do try to remember to move it up off my wrist and up farther on my arm when I
walk. But for example yesterday I walked my dog for 20 minutes, then went to
the Fitness Center and walked another 35 minutes and then I went grocery shopping
and did a months worth of shopping, probably another 45 minutes, then got them
out of the car (many loads) into the house. And it didn't give me any more steps
than a regular day. What??? I also sync 3 or 4 times a day. But I am determined
not to give up...it is beginning to pay off. My clothes are feeling baggy and my
face is thinner. Can't complain...when it is ALL paying off.

 Hugs,
 Peggy

                      | Hey Fitbit Buds...Yes, Cj and I are walking our little hearts out! But I am now consistently making my 10,000 steps per day. Not long ago...I thought I would never get there and here I am.
The weight is another matter all together...but it has to start coming off some time. I need
to give up the carbs I know!!

Hey girls...I am hearing from more and more people who use the Fitbit that they die (completely
quit working in less than a year) what have you all experienced or heard? I will be very upset
if mine does that. I don't have that kind of $ to replace it...being on a fixed income. I just
had dinner tonight with another couple who have the Fitbit Charge and his is still working but
hers died. Does the company stand behind their product at all...do you know?

Happy Walking, Jogging and Shoveling Snow,
 Peggy

                      | My boyfriend had a FitBit Flex, and he has lost it because the straps on the FitBits get weakened and do not hold tight. I'd check your strap.

                      | Linda...one nice thing about the Fitbit Charge is it has a buckle and fastens like a regular leather band watch. So, that is one obstacle I don't have to hurtle with this one. Tell your
boy friend that Amazon and Fitbit sell (for very reasonable prices)the bands. And they have a
lot of different ones for the Fitbit Flex. So, there is no reason for him not to be able to
 still use his Fitbit.

 Peggy

                      | I had read somewhere some customer reviews from customers that had problems. As I recall it seems that the company did a good job of standing behind their product, as some folks talked about getting a replacement. I don't recall where I read that though . . . hmmmmm. If I find it I'll let you know!

                      | Cj...I love that Fitbit reminds us when we need to Charge it. It saved my bacon a couple of times because I do most of my walking in the Evening...it would be sad to not get all those steps
counted because your Fitbit ran out of charge. I never thought of using canned air on the contact
points. Great Tip! I do clean my band and points every two weeks with a mild astringent.

                      | Peggy, you had mentioned bands for the Flex. I had seen some on Amazon, a pack of 10 in a variety of designs, thinking it would be fun to have some to change out, however I didn't like all 10 of them. I like one of the three packs available on Fitbit, but I don't want to spend $30.00 on three bands. So, for now I'll stick with the black one that came with it. You can't see it most of the time while wearing long sleeves anyway. When summer comes it might be nice to have a fun color/design . . . I'll think about that! CJ

                      | My cousin has some fancy jewelry pieces that her Fitbit slips into. I think she said the brand name was Tory Birch. She has a pretty bracelet and a unique necklace that she wears a lot, and if you didn't know that it is Fitbit jewelry you'd never guess. I'd guess they may be pretty expensive though.
That's too bad that some people are having trouble with their Fitbits after a relatively short period of time. I will have had my Fitbit One for three years next month. It's gone through the wash several times and has survived a couple of falls with no problems. The battery is starting to need charging more frequently so I may have to replace it eventually (I don't think the batteries are replaceable on this model) but from the sounds of it I've gotten a good life out of it. Knock on wood....

I pulled some muscles along my ribcage around the holidays so I haven't been able to be as active as normal while everything has been healing up. I'm feeling a lot better now so I've started to slowly build back up to my normal yoga and walking routine. It feels so good to be more active again! Can't wait to see the flower stalk on my One grow all the way to the top of the little screen again for a change!

 Cheers! ~ Marilyn

                      | Marilyn...I have seen those fancy jewelry pieces for The Fitbit Charge. Pretty Cool really if you want to wear them to work or for going out in the Evening. They are pretty! But I'm way
past caring about that kind of stuff. I love my deep purple band! And doubt I will buy anything
else but who knows I may change my mind down the road. ~ Your rib cage pain sounds awful! I think
I twinged when I read that. Get better and don't push yourself girl until it doesn't hurt any more.

CJ...I didn't know that you had to buy all of those bands...I thought you could just purchase one.
I didn't like all the patterns either but then I don't have a Flex so I wasn't looking at them
 real closely.

OK...I'm off to The Fitness Center to walk.

 Hugs,
 Peggy

                      | Peggy, You can buy just one band from Fitbit, but I was interested in the different colors. I don't even remember what one band costs, but I think more than I want to pay. But, we'll see . . I was interested in the "Vibrant Colora", which are all of my favorite colors: purple, teal and pink.

                      | Well, I'm learning to keep a better eye on fastening my Fitbit on securely. Helping my hubby set irrigation sprinklers in the cow pasture and my Fitbit fell off right under the sprinkler. Fortunately, I realized it several yards away and was able to retrace my steps and find it. Then I accidentally unfastened it with the lawnmower handle while making s quirky turn, but caught that in time.
 Mercy!
