I went thrifting yesterday for the first time in a long time and while I totally didn't have enough time (sleeping kid in the car with his Dad), I did score. Just a little bit of treasure, but do take a look on my blog!

Great job Catherine! I'm so proud of you! I just LOVE old buttons and I'm always on the lookout for them. I haven't found any in awhile tho. Guess that's part of the fun....the hunt! So are you going back when you have more time?? Hugs, Lu

Good find Catherine, buttons are getting harder to find, seems like lots of people are looking for them. Keep thrifting when you have time, its great fun. Make sure you show us what you get. NANCY JO

I saw some buttons in jars at our Salvation army store and they were very expensive. They are getting higher here.pinkroses |

Nice find! I got sidetracked reading the rest of your blog. I was laughing at your Scrabble entry ~ too funny, I love Scrabble.

Oooh- there's nothing like the sound of buttons pouring out onto the table and the anticipation of what you'll find! Great find!

Great find, Catherine! I love old buttons. My grandmother collected buttons from the time she was about nine years old and when she died the collection went to my mom. As a child I loved to sit and sort through those buttons, the feel of their cool smoothness slidding through my fingers is still intoxicating. Now I collect buttons of my own, but grandmas are still my favorite. When I have created a special gift for one of the girls in our family it is often accented Grandmas buttons and given with the realisation that the buttons will always find its way back into the collection.
