Today I am putting together a quilt top for my nephew and his wife as a wedding gift. They were married in a small ceremony in California in late September. In September 2022 they hope to have a larger celebration when COVID has hopefully calmed down.

April, your pin cushion is perfect! What a great way to repurpose.

Julie, oh my goodness! The pink one is perfect for Everleigh! Where did you get the pattern? I need to make her one.

April - Love the pin cushion. You should have joined the feedsack swap! I'm pretty sure sewing machines don't work properly if you don't swear at them once in a while. I'm kidding, but mine has heard a few choice words LOL! With as creative as you are I'm sure you would be a wonderful partner for the swap. Give it a try next time around.

Julie - those pillows are so cute! I bet your granddaughters are going to love them.

Linda - it amazes me how fast you put together quilts! Can't wait to see the one you're working on now.

I made 2 Scooby Doo aprons and 2 little pillows for my nephews but the pictures are not uploaded to the computer yet. I'll have to show you next time :)

I don't have a pattern. I have an old Christmas apron I found at a garage sale for a quarter that my niece (who is turning 13 this month) wore when she was little. I just laid it on top of the fabric and cut it a little bigger so I could fold under the edges to finish them. They might be a little bit big right now, but they should last a little while that way LOL!

Grace - I have some Scooby stamps in my drawer also :)

Going to have to find my child's pattern one of the farm girls sent me. Forgot all about it until after I wrote that Heather. Need to get some more made for the littles.

Krista - that would have been a great idea! But, no I didn't think of that. They're just a regular pillows with 2 different fabrics on one side. One of my nieces asked me to make her brother a pillow because he keeps stealing hers LOL!

Keeping busy while hubby was watching the Pro-Bowl on TV
So here is what I made..

I was digging through my fabric stash and found this remnant... So I made a pot holder and 2 wine booties/mug rugs.
Now to stop playing and figure out what to make for dinner!

I made an "unintended Potholder" yesterday. Yep. I was working on a padded basket and when it was done I realized I must have hit the hoop during stitching as it was about half an inch catawampus from top to bottom. Disgusted, I was about to trash it when it dawned on me that I could just cut it down and do a decorative stitch on the edges and call it a potholder -- for me anyway, as it's not fit for gifting. LOL. I'm sure no one else does things like that, so I thought I'd share my experience with y'all. Hoping for better luck today, I remain hugfully yours,
jean

Grace, those turned out so pretty! Love the fabric choice!

Jean, I’m sorry your original project didn’t work out but at least you were able to transform it into something else.

. These will be my made over curtains for my kitchen. New was so expensive. And we don’t have a decent fabric store close. So I checked out curtain ideas and added two strips of material and walaaa. I love them. They look like new.
