Here is my Christmas Gnome .. I used the fall one/pattern with a couple of modifications and added a wee tree with a sequin star.
I could not get a good photo, his beard paled in the photo.
I still need to sew the little rose on…

Here is a better photo.. I think I will make the nose and beard smaller, like the Autumn one,,, now that I have a completed version, I think I like the Autumn beard and nose better.
I luv these little guys, easy evening stitchery

So cute, you’re making me want to get my cross stitching back out.

Cute gnome!! Is he an ornament for the tree? My Mom just loved gnomes and she would be smiling and delighted you enjoyed making yourself one too!

Hey Winnie,, I attach the Gnomes with a ribbon and hang them from knobs on my cabinets.
I am actually thinking about making some more,, a Valentines, Easter and 4th of July... Goodness, with the snow setting in, I'll have time to stitch..

Grace, send some of that snow my way. We had just a smidgen this morning but it was all gone by lunch time.

As I was looking through my craft drawers I seen a project I started on 3 years ago. I decided to get it out and see if u can finish in time for Christmas and finally give it to my mom. I also found another project I started many years ago. It just needs a crochet boarder and the ends sewn in. Many the recipient will finally get it too lol!

Grace - adorable gnome, I love the layers of fabric behind it. Something always so cheerful about those little guys.

Krista - I love the idea of finishing projects past to gift, something so special about a hand made gift. Those were always my favorite growing up and even through out the years.

Theresa - I hope your great neice just loves that - one of kind for sure - all her friends will be asking where she got it.

You ladies are all so inspiring -

Thank you April. I think it will be a hit for the Day of the Dead Celebration

Krista, The knitting is called illusion knitting. When you look at it straight on it basically looks like stripes but when you look at it from an angle you can see the design. This design is called Flying Skull. I've also done a Bat Shawl in the same method.

and carved a shawl pin to go with it...

That's an amazing shawl!! And you carved the pin too!!!!! Amazing! How hard is that type of knitting? I'm just relearning and I've mastered the knit and pearl and that's about it LOL! I'd love to have something like that with a heart on it but I'm not sure if I'm ready to try it or need more practice first.

I've been making a gnome scarf:
