Freddie the frog has taken up residency in my studio . . . I've never met him face to face. But he serenades me quite often when I'm out there sewing. He must like the sound of the sewing machine. He probably lives in a vent or some other hidey hole and comes out to drink the dogs water when I'm not looking. Spiders seem to like my studio too, so I'm thinking Freddie has plenty of fresh bugs to eat. If I believed in fairy tales I might think he was my frog prince watching over me . . . it's a nice thought.

Now you know you could write a children's book about Freddy as you have a great start.

I love this so much! Everyone needs a Frog Prince to watch over them and eat spiders…I don’t think I could spend much time in a place with spiders…eeeeeeekkkkkk! Lol

I can do without reptiles... yikes! Was scared when I was younger with a snake jumping out from under a board at me, been traumatize ever since. Freddy's brothers and sisters usually surprise me on my garden hose or my kitchen window boxes outside. Makes me scream every time! Spiders, I don't mind at all... in fact, I name them all when they find their way into our home. :-) My boys are usually the ones that yell, Mooooommmmmm! Theres a spider in my room! I do not let my boys hurt a spider, I will softly catch them and release them outside. Daddy long legs are my favorite. Odd, I know...

I'd rather have the frog than spiders LOL! Not sure I'd find one in my house very charming though :)

Jean, this is an interesting phenomena ! How many people can boast that a frog is wintering over in their Idaho house while the weather is frigid outside?

He might actually be one of our common Idaho toads, but I choose to think of him as Freddie my Frog Prince. LOL. My studio is built over the crawl space that goes under our house. My hubby thinks that's where he lives. But I am of the opinion that he is the guardian of my studio. I am quite deaf and his voice is in a deep range that I can hear, so I am quite happy for his company.

Jean that is really neat! We found a frog last summer on our patio and we were all fascinated with him. He must be trying to stay warm in your house. I hope your frog prince will continue to keep you company and keep those yucky spiders under control!
