This is Dalyn from Washington state (Central part). We homescool on a small ranch (11 acres), and raise dairy and meat goats, horses, poultry and sheep are coming this summer. We may try a steer or two as well. There's also the usual assortment of cats and dogs, goldfish and whatever slithery thing the boys have captured

I make cheeses and soaps and love to learn new things. I have always got a new project going on! I can't sew worth beans, but my 14 year old daughter is helping me...she taught herself to sew, knit, crochet, embroider, and you name it. I taught her to cook and ride horses.

We have 3 biological children, and 3 adopted from Africa and one more who is too old to be adopted and not allowed into the country but we promised to be his family and we take care of him long-distance. He lives in an orphanage still right now.

I love my home and family and I love my goats!

Dalyn,
Welcome and so glad to have you!! Your place sounds wonderful and I think it is even more wonderful that you have been able to add to your family in such a giving wonderful way! Sounds like you have a truly blessed family!! My husband and I often think of adopting but want to wait until we settle. We have 4 homemade children, but I could have a dozen and love every second of it! I am thrilled you found us and can't wait to get to know you better as I see 'round the farm! This is a wonderful place and I hope you enjoy it even half as much as I have!!
Hugz!
Talitha

Dalyn, so nice to meet you. My heart broke when you spoke of the child that was too old. Oh that is sooooo sad. I didn't know there was an age limit. That's crazy! I guess they have their reasons. Sounds like your one busy farmgirl! I look forward to getting to know you.

Wow - will you ever fit right in! I just know you're going to enjoy it.
I really like your "Queen of Quite a Lot" - it brought a big smile to my face. And how do you pronounce your name? First time I've ever heard of it. :)
Looking forward to hearing more about your very full life.
