Let’s have some fun and have a Full Moon Swap. The Moon for October is the Hunters Moon. So make your ATC related to the October Full Moon.
Sign ups will go through Oct. 1 and mail out as soon as possible after that.
Partners will be posted on October 2nd, please contact your partner to exchange addresses. If you have any problems let me know and I will see what I can do.
Have fun and enjoy. Don’t forget to take a picture of your ATC before you send it to your partner. Then you will be able to post it in case your partner can not.

Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5". Artist Trading Cards are the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). Alternately you may choose to use a round ATC Coin of 2.5" diameter. They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. In 1997 he created 1200 cards by hand as part of an exhibit. On the last day, he invited others to create their own cards and trade with him during the closing reception. The movement took off, and today, there are ATC swaps in almost every major city around the world!
You can make ATCs with many different media including paper, fabric, felt, metal, wood, clay, paint, stamps, embellishments and more. There are tons of ideas and inspiration available online if you google ATC or Artist Trading Cards.

Why Is It Called the Hunter's Moon?
It is believed that this full Moon came to be called the full Hunter's Moon because it signaled the time to go hunting in preparation for the cold winter ahead.
According to Farmers Almanac:
When to See the Full Moon in October 2022
The Hunter’s Moon will reach peak illumination at 4:54 P.M. Eastern Time on Sunday, October 9. It will be below the horizon at this time, so we’ll have to wait until sunset to watch it rise and take its place in the sky. Like September’s Harvest Moon, the Hunter’s Moon rises around the same time for several nights in a row, so start looking for it on Saturday, October 8!
As the Moon drifts over the horizon around sunset, it may appear larger and more orange—how perfect for the fall season! But don’t be fooled by the “Moon Illusion,” which makes the Moon appear bigger than it really is.
