Ignore the mess in the background, or as they say, in the Wizard of Oz ,, don’t pay any attention to the little man behind the curtain…lol!
So, this scarf I started last year in early fall to make for my niece for Christmas because she loves to go skiing… I got about a fourth of the way crocheting it and had way too many mistakes in it so I completely tore it out and started over again… Only this time I decided to use my weaving loom instead. In the meantime, it didn’t finish it to send to my niece for Christmas like it was supposed to, but guess what… Her birthday is in two weeks so guess what she’s getting? Ha ha ha! I love the yarn. It’s so soft and has an angora feel, to it… and I can probably say yes! Another UFO Done!

I bet your niece is going to be very glad you didn't give up! That's a beautiful looking scarf.

I am working on a 2010 quilt top of Snowglobes. It is a FatCat pattern that came out in 2010. An online group I was in had a swap for the snowglobe "globes" using Christmas fabrics. I have 15 globes and am putting 12 into the quilt - I may put the other 2 on the back.

My project yesterday was cutting out some of the brown wood-toned bases for the globes. As soon as I get a few blocks completed I will post pictures.

I also can't wait to see the snow globe quilt! I'm working on sewing a purse from a t-shirt and some fabric.

This is a work in progress UFO. It's a large project that will take me months to complete but I have been super excited about my progress that I wanted to share. When it's all the way finished it will be a picture of 2 highland cows.

Hey Krista,
Glad to see you are 'itchin to be stitchin'..

Years ago I stitched a Brittnay Spaniel on a brown rug w/a brown boot, all of 5x7 size.. took me about 20 hours to stitch.. best 20 hours.. because it was a gift for my husband in honor of his dog "Whitny"

Looking forward to seeing your 'Highlands" when you are finished...

As a retired County employee... I found x-stitching (my hot tub and wine ) to be my sanity saver..

That's going to be amazing! I do not share the love of counted cross stitch. It's been a long time though. Maybe I'd feel different now. Or maybe I just need to try it with some wine ;) I prefer crocheting for a relaxing project.

I have been trying to work on it for at least 5 minutes every night. Normally I dread these very large projects but this one keeps calling out to me and I just want to add one more stitch lol! This one is different from all the others I have worked on. They all have different thread counts and some even mix colors. It's been a fun new challenge.

Here are the 12 blocks I’ve been working on for my 2010 Snowglobe swap blocks. They are ironed onto the background fabric, but I still need to sew them on and add sashings before I take it to my Longarm quilter.

I love the snow globe blocks. Those would be cute on gift bags and as potholders or mug rugs.

I am finally back to working on a Quilt of Valor. I had made one huge piece for it and set it aside. It has sooo many little pieces. . .what was I thinking?! But, I am making it for a very special uncle, so all of the little pieces will be worth it in the end. I will show pics as I go. Hope to have it done by the end of June or before if I can work it out.
