It's cool this morning under the big oak tree so it's a good day to scoop Annie's poop. Not saying there is ever a good day to scoop poop. As I was going about doing so I got thinking about what the old folks used to say when I was growing up, "she's getting too big for her britches". So when I'm getting too big for my britches I scoop poop and scooping poop is high on the list of things that keep me humble.

Haha, that’ll do it for sure! Have a great day Sara.

Debbie, scooping poop not a favorite of mine either.
Vanessa, oh yes, scooping kitty litter keeps us humble too.
Krista, shoveling cow mature would definitely out rank scooping dog or cat poop. lol

I am thankful that my toilet is not like the ones in Egypt and the countryside in Turkey

Yes, an indoor toilet is a blessing, I should do a better job of remembering that, cause I grew up with a path to the outhouse. Off the subject but for years I grew "outhouse hollyhocks" that were found growing around an abandoned outhouse.

There are many tasks in our lives that are not fun to do but must be done. I think, like many of you said, that there are lots of chores that need attention all the time but are a drag to do! No matter what the task is, we have to accept responsibility for that which calls us to take care of whatever needs tending. But I find that doing those sorts of chores are reminders to me that we are all citizens of this Earth and we all have to do our part in keeping our messes clean for the sake of others who live here as well. If we could all do that, there wouldn't be trash along the roadsides or in parking lots. Respecting the needs of all who share this land with us is one way to make places clean and livable for people and critters.
