Ok ladies, for Flag Day, Memorial day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day and just for me...here are a few of my flags. The first photo is the flags in sap buckets on the driveway fence. The second photo is the flags across the land of road. They tell me the wind direction. Lastly I took a photo of a few of the ripening little Improved Porter tomatoes and another flag. Can you tell I love American flags? There are a lot more both inside and out, even the sewing house has little flags everywhere.

About the driveway fence photo...I just ran the weed eater through there because the vinca, the grape, and that other invasive vines were driving me nuts interfering with my tomato vines.
Oh yes, it any of you would like some seed so you can start and grow some improved Porter tomatoes next year, just send me an email. Gene Porter was a.local man who had a seed store. He first came up with the little porter tomato, about the size of a cherry. Later on he came up with this one. It is double the size of the original and like the little one....oh it is tastey!

Marilyn -

I'd love some of the seed for my son and I to plant. Those tomatoes sound wonderful.

And love your flags.

Thanks Marilyn!

Winnie do love these holidays. We need to keep our history alive and pass it to our children and grandchildren. I also love to decorate with Americana. Usually from May to Labor day when I move on to Fall.

When the North wind blows the flags stand out straight, same with a strong enough wind. So the evening I took this, there was No wind.

Hi Marilyn I would love to try some of your tomato seeds, please.

Are they small tomatoes?

Thank you.

Ladies I save tomato seed by smearing them on a paper towel. Then I leave them out on the table on top of an empty ice tray. 24 hours later they and the towel are dry. Then I put them in an envelope to save for next year...or send to a friend.

I guess I won't be celebrating flip flop day. I don't wear flip flops much, sometimes in state parks to go to the restroom. I don't like any shoes with something between my toes. Lol

I do have my denim capris on, so I am wearing blue.

Lol. Linda, I have trouble with my sandals and flip flops at the beginning of every summer.

Oops, I posted this and I'm wearing red. Well my shoes are blue though.

Two happy events happened on this date. In 1955 Disneyland opened. The other event is that I have now been in the Sisterhood for a year. I want to thank you all for making me feel welcome. You Sisters are great and I love it here.

No flip flops for me, not between my toes but I am wearing a blue sweatshirt with words Navy on the front.

Blue is good.
Judith it is really great you are here with us! This is a great place to be!
