Pay attention Julie. When the air is muggy...the temps are hot and the atmosphere is unstable...that is Tornado weather. Do you ever have green clouds full of Hail? Seems that they are also part of the equation.

Green sky is a tornado isn’t it? Not a good sign.

Keep safe out there.

I sent you two videos on the green sky and Mammatus clouds. Very interesting informative and pretty too.
I found them on YouTube, they have good info over there.

Our hail does not come out of green clouds Marilyn, they are the darkest grey almost black. As farmers we are always on weather watch, when it can effect all the hard work and money you have put into the ground your eye is always on the sky. We ended up with an inch of rain and some wind. Just a few branches to clean up tomorrow.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Well here in the south, people usually notice nail immediately before the tornado or they come together. I've heard a lot of folks refer to the green hail clouds. They are not the color of grass just a tint of green. I think the scariest thing is a wall cloud...at night ... Or a rain wrapped tornado at night. You are at the mercy of God.

Julie, I hope you didn't get any bad storms.

We have had it in the mid 80s today with a nice little breeze. I can here the birds chirping a way. I don't know whether they are singing or talking but they seem to have a lot to convey. We have had so many cardinls around lately. It's so cool (does anyone say that anymore?) to see the bright red dots all through the green leaves on the side of the house. I love sitting in there in the evening watching them.

It was delightful 82 here today. DH had taken a quart of hummingbird food up to the trailer Wednesday but it was all gone by Saturday so I made more before we left yesterday. I was wearing a red shirt and was visited by the little hummers every time I stepped outside.

Hummers are such beautiful little birds.
Supposed to be a little warmer today but still nice. I'm just so glad to have sunshine after the rainy weather we had all winter.

Gorgeous out ... coolish and cloudy .... we've had a lovely spring so far. We did get a couple of hot ones but it has since cooled. Lovely weather to be sitting outside.

Looks to be another nice day. The temps are supposed to rise over this coming week. Just hoping the humidity stays low.

Beautiful cool day here. The high is only supposed to be in the lower 70's. Perfect day to get some outside chores done. We could use a shot of rain, but there is a possibility of that later in the week.

We had some more rain early this morning, not as much as Saturday morning, but enough not to have to water everything. Only a few hanging plants on the covered patio need water.

Our thunder storms began about 3:30am. We went through big noise, heavy down pours, light rain, more downpours, some wind and more rain. It is not finished. This is awesome! TYG!
And the high today 81°. We shall see. It was so humid late yesterday.

Mmmmmm, we are stuck on Florida summer. And Floirida summer.................... Next up? The arrival of the inevitable Tropical storms and hurricanes. Gulf water temps are warmer that normal already. The Atlantic and specifically the Caribbean waters are warner than normal. Hurricanes feed off of warm waters. Let’s see, it is June 23. I will be back when the hurricanes hit and then in the second half of October when the cold fronts are finally able to push below the Fla/Georgia stateline and bring us drier weather and the possibility of night temps below 70 degree point. Humph!

Winnie,
I 've been through a complete years cycle of Florida weather and I have to say the only time I envy it is in the winter.
It seemed we had rain showers and lightning everyday at 2 pm. You could set your watch by it. That was in the Tampa area. I am not a fan of lightning ever.
