My sister who lives near Wylie, Texas has $16,000 damage to her home from storms. That is roof, trim, siding above brick and her fence. She was planning to move and now must get it fixed so she can sell it.

So scary to hear of bad weather for everyone. I pray for your safety. We have freeze warnings for the next few days. It's been raining here this week.

I think our rain clouds fizzled out. Perhaps we will have a quiet night.

Thinking of you gals with the stormy weather.
We had a beautiful sunny day in the 70s yesterday. Thunderstorms and rain in the forecast for the next 2 days. can't seem to catch much of a break from the rain.

Brrrrrr! I think I need to get my winter jacket out! Presently 45 and will go down in the 30's tonight! At least the snow flake icon is no longer indicating snow during the week! Cheers!

Ed fixed my wind turbine that blew off the roof last Wednesday, so it is back up and working. :-) It is supposed to rain most of this week. We are leaving Wednesday - I hope - for Portland. Hoping the weather is good on our drive up there.

I am glad your roof is ready. Sounds like a very long drive. Which state are you going to? Maine, Oregon, etc.

I'm sure glad I didn't put my flannels away yet. Though the sun is shining it sure was cold last night and the wind is blowing something fierce out there today. Kind of glad there is nothing in the garden to worry about covering. Wonder if this means we will have a not so hot summer?

We are cooler than usual also. We have been in the mid 90s about a week or so ago. They keep guessing we are going into a rainy pattern for the next two weeks. Who knows????

Today was was on the foggy side and windy and cloudy and this afternoon the sun was out and still is at the moment. I guess it is supposed to be like this all week.
OK by me.

I sure will vote for a cooler than normal Summer :)! It's been cooler here the last few days, and I love it!!! Rain showers for the rest of the week, but if it was like today, just rain, sun maybe another shower, sun - everyone is happy :)! My Chickie girls are growing up to be soo pretty! Will have to get photos to share soon. They are about 2 months old now and look like chickens :)!
Hugs, Ruth

We're fortunate here at the moment with beautiful weather. Hope it will continue for a while. It sure was cold last weekend. It even snowed. My DH was able to get some lawn mowing done today. The grass is getting quite tall and thick.

Usually in mid May we are in the upper 80s to lower and middle 90s. Today we had a High of 59. We closed the Windows and turned on a heater.

Gorgeous day today! I was able to enjoy my breakfast outside! I had a wonderful cacoffiny of bird tweets! What a treat! I enjoyed everyone minute of it! As much as I enjoy working at Fibre, I could have sat outside longer!

Enjoy your day!

Nothing like the sound of sweet bird sounds in the morning. I used to have more sparrows in my tree but not so much anymore. The Starlings have taken over more. They have a sweet musical sound when they sing together which can get loud but messy they are.

Have a good day!

They gather on the corner by Wal mart, Taco Belle, Jack in the Box, and a feed store. Very messy and noisy too.

Today, Sunday, noon timeish, cloudy, 76° with 84% humidity, and a very light breeze. This is a sweat box. It shouldn't be, but that humidity!!!! Tropics...at least islands have a breeze off the ocean to cool them. I like where I live, but not when the humidity is so heavy.

Gorgeous here today! No humidity, high of 73 with a nice breeze blowing. I worked out in my flower garden after Church today, got a lot done, but not as much as I wanted. This old body can't do what it used to :(! But at least I can still do!!! for which I am grateful!!!
Hugs, Ruth

Another gorgeous day in way northeast! Did manage to sit outside a bit and do some reading.

I had DH put the a/c in my sewing studio. With the iron going, it was hot!

I think it's safe to say that spring has sprung. Cheers!
