I made Apple Crisp yesterday. Today we are in Pa. and enjoying all the fall color they have here now. The temps here are definitely on the chilly side!!

Last was cold enough to turn on the heat. The sun is shining and so nice out I took the dog for his walk. Thinking of things that need done outside so I have an excuse to be out there instead of working in the office today. LOL

In the 70s today! Maybe fall is really coming here after all. The air was clear enough to open the door and let some fresh air in, too. I may even go for a walk later if I remember how :-) Between my back and the smoke I have been imprisoned in the house far too long. It will be lovely to get out for a while.

We have been back in September weather the past week and a half. UGH!!! Hot and humid everyday with spotty rain showers in the afternoon. Everything is wet and mildewy . I am so over SUMMER!! the past two weeks have had tropical disturbances in the Gulf and that always creates hot and humid weather for us even if we are not targeted by the storm. The forecast says we might get a cool down by next weekend...................

Oh Winnie so sorry you don't have nicer fall weather. I know in the south it is much different.
We are have overcast and cloudy today with rain later and all day tomorrow most likely from hurricane Delta.
I'm sure everyone will be glad when hurricane season ends.

We are getting what's left of H. Delta since yesterday. So rain and wind today with our warmest temp being 62. The next few days are what I think are the last of our 70 degree days for this year. Hoping Novenmber will be drier but it usually isn't for us. That is when we get all our rain.

It appears we are still having summer here. 90s all week. At least there is blue sky and the air is a lot cleaner.

We are sunny today...with upper 80's. Tomorrow we will have a drop that will last for several days. My family is going on. Vacation to cold country pretty soon. They will freeze.

It isn't that cold in the north yet Marilyn. I bet they will enjoy the cooler weather after being so hot in Texas. It was a cool 28 this morning, but it is supposed to get up to 50 later today. The fall colors are spectacular right now.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Kind of strange today. Woke up to 65 but during the day it is supposed to get cooler and down to 50. We had a front come through giving us rain last night and today. It brought me a migraine. I should have paid better attention to forecast yesterday. I do enjoy these cooler temps though.

My favorite time of year! The red white and blue sky in the morning.
Have a good day!

Ladies our beautiful autumn weather continues!
However my son just told me it is winter brrrr, in Minnesota driving to Duluth this morning from the SOLAR POWERED CABIN that Julie rented over near Lake Superior WITH NO LIGHTS NO REFRIGERATOR, AND NO FIREWOOD GATHERED WHEN THEY GOT THERE! They do have a wood heater and a four burner propane cook stove, who h they lit last night to help warm the cabin up. They had snow at the cabin yesterday. 37° was the high yesterday. Tomorrow they head south to her sisters. That is where they may really have winter with lots of snow!
When they first told us they were going...I said isn't it a bit late in ThE year to be going north? OH NO! IT WILL BE FINE! JULIE WANTS TO SEE AUTUMN IN HER HOME STATE...WITH PUMPKINS EVERYWHERE!
THEN I reminded them THAT OUR WEATHER WAS PUT ON FAST FORWARD LAST JANUARY AND FEBRUARY...SPRING WAS EARLY...SUMMER WAS SHORT, AUTUMN, THE NICEST IN YEARS, AND NOW OUR TEMPS ARE GOING DOWN... BUT THEY WERE GOING!!! And so they did!

I don't blame them. That would be awesome! I know I'm a northerner girl at heart anyway but I just love all it has to offer. Even the snow!

We are in the low 70s all week with 75 tomorrow I think then back down. Maybe this is our Indian summer.

It has been snowing here all day. 8-10 inches more tonight. Very unusual for this early in the fall. We were eating fresh beets from the garden as the snow was accumulating. I feel like I am in another world.

Endless days of heat, humidity and little showers. It feels very much like August and September and the 10 day forecast isn't looking promising either. The few cooler days we had at the beginning of the month vanished!

Love the rain we are getting today!! We so needed it here. Not the beat morning for a garage sale, but I have sold about $70 worth and another 75 from marketplace before the gs. The afternoon and all day tomorrow are supposed to be dry. Sure hope so. Want to sell all we can.

I think, I hope, our hot weather is over for the year. 90 yesterday, 78 today and 70s predicted the rest of the week. I wonder what happened to my favorite 80s. Night time temps in the 40s for comfortable sleeping. The fires are about out, the air is clean, blue skies have returned. Life is good.

Our weather was rainy for a while but today we have blue skies and it looks like it will be in the mid to upper 60s for the whole next week. Looking to get some things done.

We had a week of lovely 80s and cooler nights. I woke in the middle of the night to the smell of smoke and almost panicked before I realized the heater had come on and I was smelling the summer's worth of dust burning. Even though you vacuum it out there is always that smell when it first comes on in the fall. According to the weatherman it will be in the 60s for a wile. Goodbye lovely weather -- see you again in the spring!

Love the cooler weather here because it brings the fall colors of red, gold, and yellows. I also enjoy the lack of A/C because it brings the electric bill down and the heater doesn't come on much and the gas heat is cheaper.
