We are having another big warm-up again. It sure was nice to have a few chilly days with the widows open. The humidity is also rising so my guess is that we might escape the AC one more day before we have to give in and shut windows again. Yep, Florida is a natural swamp so it is normal for this eco system.

80 today; our last warm day. We are going up to the hills today. I will take a nice walk and say goodbye to warm weather for the year.

Our weather here is gorgeous today! Beautiful sunshine and a foggy morning which I love. I've been outside smelling the wonderful smells of autumn. I couldn't describe it if I wanted to and I will pay for it with my allergies but I am going to be outside as much as possible today! In the low 70s. Perfect!

It is drizzly and humid here today as Tropical Storm Eta is currently in south Florida and expected to move more into the Gulf along the west coast of Florida. It will be a wait and see next 5 days to see what this storm will eventually do. Some paths have it directly across the state from Tampa to Jacksonville which would be right across where I live. At the moment they are all just models of possibilities to we are in a wait and see week. Meanwhile summer is here, the AC is on, and fall seems like some fairy tale that only happens somewhere else! Hrumph!!

We went from 82 to 28 in two days. I barely had time to get the orchids under cover and find the wool blanket for the bed. I was wishing for a little more fall weather but I guess I'll just wait for spring now.

We are having rain and wind today, not supposed to last too long but you never know and some areas are having high seas and swells.

We shall see.

Stay warm and comfy everyone.
love you all!

We had some unexpected wind and rain yesterday and the wind has stayed with us through today. Hoping it dies down. Makes it not so nice to go and get things done. Have been sitting by the fire watching movies and working on some Christmas things.

We had our first rain yesterday. Drops started falling just as I was finishing my long hike. About two miles -- long for me.

Might get some rain this coming weekend, but just windy these past few days.

Ed has a huge bonfire pile set up (Shhhhh - he's cleaning off his "ranch" property - at least a little! It's only 10 acres, but to distinguish it from our house, he decided to call it a ranch.) and it's been too windy burn it. One of my grand-twins is with us for a couple nights, to help Ed at his property.

We are cool, not cold. Most of our leaves are on the ground. I'm trying to get the house plants protected so they can be out doors...that means wrapping the porch of the sewing house in 6 mil plastic. I'm happy that the forecast is for a nice week ahead because I need to cover one more side and decide what to do about the entry way! I took today to bag up my swaps and this afternoon just before they closed we made it to the PO. Tomorrow it is outside again.

Oh my Bonnie that is warm for you there. We woke up to high 20s this morning. It is up to 35 already and will make 50s by this afternoon. Normal for us this time of year.
They are saying we are in for another rainy winter. Look forward to moving to 4 seasons where we actually might have snow for Christmas. We are looking at being there in a year or sooner of things work out.

Marilyn, we are still planning on Ohio.

We had a bit of a scare yesterday. Our temps have been in the 60s and yesterday as soon as my daughter and I hung up from chatting my phone alert went off for a tornado warning. So I gathered my phone, charger and the dog and his crate and headed for the basement. Texted my local daughter and she had gathered the kids and whatever they needed and were waiting it out in their basement. It lasted about 1/2 an hour. I took my Sudoku book with me for something to do. I did tell JT that a finished basement was a priority when we move because they do have tornado warnings go off there too.
It is supposed to be in the 40s the next couple weeks with a few days in the 50s. More fall temps. We seem to be getting more tornado warnings here this year than in any of the 30 years we've been here.

That was scary!
We are quite cold today. The wood stove needs to be fed again...so since my hubby decided to go help our son this week I must go feed the stove. I'm ready for the North wind to lay.

We are enjoying temps in the 40's. It makes our winter much shorter, but I am hoping for a little snow for Christmas.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.
