Woke this morning to a heavy frost. Made everything glittery in the sunshine. So pretty but very cold when I was out walking.

We have had a chilly grey week until today when the sunshine showed up. Tomorrow brings rain back again and very cold temps with a freeze over the weekend. I am amazed at how chold this month has been so far. I must say, it is perfect hot tea drinking days and I am enjoying a mug of peppermint right now as I type.

Fog and more fog. We will head to the hills for a day or two to hopefully find some sun. Going weeks without sign gets depressing. We have been lucky the past few years with very little fog but It looks like we are back to our foggy gray winters.

We had a pretty day most of the day and then later the fog started coming in.
The first of the week we had wind and rain. cleared the air and made the grass grow.

Have a good evening and take care

We've been having cold temps but sunny. Rain is coming today but back to partly sunny for the coming week. I am with you Judith. When we have grey days it makes things depressing.

Carole, that is beautiful! We get a lot of fog here and I seem to be the only one who enjoys it!

Well maybe you will have more so Lily June can enjoy it, enough for a snow angel.!
Once I sent some cash with the kids and a list, when they were going to Wisconsin. My list included an old sled, snow shoes, and some other vintage stuff. This was pre babies...so about 25 years ago.
That old sled has been pulled all up and down our lane, the small hills and the trail that leads down to the barn. Snow much fun.even when the light dusting was really a sleet storm...if the ground had some white showing two little girls had so much fun. Perhaps now it will give that pleasure to Jasper some day.
When we were in town Thursday morning...we went by the new house...where we found auntie Had holding a sleeping baby while his mommy walked around and his grandma put a few things away. Today is Bapa's birthday, so maybe we will be able to see him again...and hopefully he will open his eyes. Every time I have seen him he is asleep. Of course that is what new borns do best.
Bay told us that from the time they left her room until he was out, crying loudly was nine minutes!
I was shocked, Bay said it was fast, a hospital record.

I love foggy mornings! Like snow it makes everything seem quieter out here.
We are having temps close to 50 today and sunshine. Haven't had much of a winter this year. At least it snowed once but didn't stay. Almanac said we weren't getting much if any this winter.

Very windy today; some cats don't like their fur blown about so they are staying inside. We went up to the hills for the weekend to get away from the fog and had beautiful sunny weather both days. It actually got up to 70 yesterday and my afternoon walk had me removing items of clothing along the trail.

We had a very cold weekend and today it finally got into the low 60s for a few hours. January has been a chilly one but I love it! Sweater weather suits me just fine. This weekend into next week has temps up to mid 70s so as January moves on to February, we will see more warm days than the chilly ones we are having. The frosts over the past two months are good for getting rid of some mosquitoes too!!

Windy today and chilly. Staying in except to get the mail. Hot cup of something is in order to ease this sinus ick.

Today was cloudy and cool. Tomorrow ???
Ladies please be careful. Please stay at home. Make some soup or put something on the crock pot. Pop some popcorn. Gather your blankets. Your hot drink, a big box of tissues...and sit in a comfy chair in front of the TV set. Your internet and cell phone probably won't work.

Bonnie, lovely pictures. I love winter.

We had a couple of inches of fluffy snow yesterday. It makes everything so pretty.

We are getting a but if rain and then sunday begins a warm up in the mid to up upper 70s through Thursday. Spring is usually happening here by February so a warm week is going to nudge it along.
