Awesome August weather this year. Cloudy, Cooler and rainy. 52 years ago, when my son was born is the last time I remember an August like this...hot, hotter, hottest, then mild, some rain, so nice.

No here across the Gulf from you!! It has been AWFU!! Hot and humid almost everyday with temps in the 90s and Heat Index well over 100. Punishing!! I can't wait for a change and it can't come soon enough for me. I lost interest in Summer after July 4!! LOL!!

I guess most of California is like that too. that is why we have been getting more fog.
The heat pulls it in here.

Take care and put an extra ice cube in your lemonades.

Winnie, your weather sounds like ours. Fortunately we are getting a wonderful rain this evening. Has taken the temp down and it's blessing my garden right now. It blew in heavy at first but it is more steady right now and hopefully we will get a good soaking into the ground instead of just running off.

Yesterday was beautiful here. Just like fall but without all the beautiful colors. Had the windows all open and got lots done. Cooler weather seems to give me more energy.
Today we are warming up again but at least the fall is getting closer.

That bit of cool air must have been fabulous!! Ohh, I know you enjoyed every second. As I look out my steamed up windows from the humidity outside, it sounds heavenly!!!

Yes,I am praying for the safety of all our EAST COAST farm girls, during these storms. We had showers today also. I had to make a flying run to work at 11:00am and was rained on. When I came home about four it was really wet and puddled up. I guess we got more than I thought.

I had to take a First Aid/CPR Class tonight. Five hours worth...but finally I think I could help if I had to. Working with little kids, we have to take it every two years, so I have had a few...this was the best so far. Night night.

WE had a 6 inches of rain, lots of wind but our house did not lose electricity!! Today there was a lot of small branches and leaf debris to clean up but we were so lucky. Some people lost power and and big trees down in their yards. So glad it is over and drier weather will be coming by Monday. Thanks for thinking about me!!

I am glad it missed you Sherry, that is nice of it. Have a good evening.
Winnie how far are you from Trenton Florida? I just talked to someone who lives down or up there and said they were concerned about the trees and the wind. I hope your dry weather does come for you on Monday. 6 inches is a lot of rain at one time.

Take care out there.

Darlene, did you feel the 5.6 earth quake near Ferndale, California????? Are you ok? There was also a 5.6 and two ( 3.1 @ 3.2) in north central Oklahoma about 7:00am. Dallas news station was all excited this morning.

Marilyn, glad you mentioned the Dallas station. I'll turn Channel 4 on. I felt the quake - it lasted several seconds. My sister called, she lives southeast and 30 minutes from me, and she felt the quake. I have felt OK quakes before but they usually don't last as long as the one this morning.

It's a cool morning and I really like that.
