Channel 8 reported this morning that the low was 36°. They said this February there were no freezes. So 2017, goes on record along with 1930, 1931, 1957, and 1999 as having NO freezes in the month of February.

The winter sure is different these days. Had snow off and on all day here, but it has been to warm for it to stay.

Today, Sunday is the day of the solar eclipse as well as the new moon. Since most of us are in the northern hemisphere, we won't be seeing much eclipse, if any...So say the experts. Only two more days of this lovely month.

Windy here today. Temps in 30s. No snow here. We had record 60s last week. We missed a dump of snow that went south of us.

68 and cloudy today.
Been hoping for snow on Wed for my birthday (snowed the day I was born and not since) but forecast is 70 and sunny. Spring has come early this year.

10 when I got up this mornings not, could hit 25 by this afternoon. It is warming up, but not fast enough for me.

February has been unbelievable for us here this year. Yesterday was a high of 60, and today will most likely be the same. I am really hoping it doesn't mean a hot summer for us. We've had a thunderstorm or 2 already which rarely happens before April here.

I guess we were warmer here today Linda. It is 80 at 4:35 pm. I thought we were going to be cooler...perhaps later.

March blew in like a roaring Lion, during the night. We have some Texas sunshine with the north wind.

March came in here like a Lion also! We are under a tornado watch till 7 pm tonight. A lot of churches have cancelled Wednesday night services. Praying March will go out like a Lamb!! Stay safe gals! I have given our pups some "Comfort Calm" as two of them are terrified of storms! Right now all is quiet - thankful!!!

Hope all is well Ruth.
We had thunderstorm warnings till 7 last night but we only had rain and lots of wind came through and is still blowing.
Hoping this isn't a sign for all of March.

Brrrrrrrrr! We went from double digits in the high 50s to

We had lots of wind last night and I see that the wind will pick up later on. There's a commercial building across the ways from my quilt shop that had shingles flying off the roof during our last windy day! I sure hope he had things nailed down. But, just in case, I parked far away. A lady who works at a business close to mine said that her car was heavily damaged from the flying shingles on the last windy day! Apparently, the owner of that builder doesn't care and told her "how do you know it's my roof?" - I'm like "yea right, you're missing half your roof". Oh well!

Wow Carole, you temps really dropped! March came "in like a lion" here too. We got winds and hail, no damage. My Uncle Jimmy In Dyersburg, Tennessee about 75 miles from me, got the roof blown off his wood workshop, no one was hurt. Several large trees fell through homes in Dyersburg, no one was hurt, Thank the Lord!

That was crazy weather in Tennessee. From local chatter, it seems that something fell out of the sky Sunday night about 9pm. Some guess a satellite blew apart, others think a meteor. What ever it was at least some or all of it may be on a ranch about twenty five miles south of here. Tonight there is a possibility once again.I am so thankful that so far they have crashed into water or open land.

Marilyn, did the whatever it was that crashed make the news? Keep us posted! It seems that meteors are flying closer to earth more and more. (perhaps due to our ability to monitor them) I've read somewhere that they have a difficult time tracking some of them. They sort of appear out of nowhere, surprise! I don't like those kinds of surprises!
