Years ago they buried phone lines. Does anyone know why they have not done the same with power lines especially???

I am glad your family is safe Shannon. Praise God.

We were fortunate to not have had the rain we expected on the trip out. It is still cold here and quite windy but I'll take it over the rain and storms we are having at home. Not sure which day we are traveling back, tomorrow or Sunday. Dd wants us to stay another day and of course the girls do to. Hope everyone who is experiencing bad weather is safe, warm and dry.

Thanks Darlene. Woke up to snow on the ground and apparently we lost a tree on our rental property at home so will have to take care of that soon. Will be leaving my girlies in the morning but we have been enjoying them so much.

It was HOT today here in Texas. I worked this morning, and it was such a beautiful day. This afternoon I rode, with my grand daughter, on the golf cart down to the far pasture to turn on water for the cows, then down the lane to the mail boxes. It was about 1:30pm and hot. The breeze felt good as we raced along, but anytime we slowed down or stopped, we wished for more cool breeze.

Marilyn, we in cold weather envy you. It was in the 20s and 30s today and the rest of the week. Our spring sometimes comes agonizingly slow.

We had a warm windy day today! I think that isn't too bad because there was a video on Facebook that showed a car stopped watching a dust devil blowing enormous tumble weeds around him. There were so many.
When I was little I was out selling Campfire Girls candy and a big tumbleweed came up and hit me almost knocked me over. :D

Oh Darlene, that is funny. I did not know tumble weeds grew in California. When I was a kid living near Snyder, Tx. We had so many.We kids built forts out of them, and play houses. I will never forget an automobile show room with a pink tumbleweed Christmas tree. Needless to say it got a lot of attention, actually it was pretty.

Marilyn

Actually those tumble weeds that hit me were in Colorado. I am not sure where the ones in the video were. I suppose anywhere there is sagebrush and wind they could blow.
I have seen tumble weed Christmas trees, they are different but kind of pretty.

We had rain the whole way home but none of it heavy. Came home to find the tree that had gone down was cleaned up by the township. Nice today but chilly.

We have had pretty weather the last three days, quite windy though! Rain coming in Thursday evening, hopefully after my Hubby gets his two new packages of Honey Bees and they are all settled into their new homes! We have been working on getting the new hives all painted and ready ;)! Hopefully this will be a great Honey year for all the Beekeepers.
Have a blessed evening!
Hugs, Ruth

We had our average weather, windy, blue skies with cloudiness.

Good luck with your bees Ruth.

Beautiful with loads of sunshine here today. We had a freeze warning last night and under another tonight. Holding off on putting my flowers out.

We are warm and about 11:00am the WIND began to gust. I spent two hours, after work, in an upstairs closet at the church, with three of my co-workers, cleaning out a mess. Our director had decided we would move our Things down stairs into a room across from her office. We were exhausted and left, after agreeing to stay next Wednesday and sort through what we moved. I need a rest!

Blizzard time in way Northeast NY - combination of freezing rain mixed with snow pushed by winds!

Brrrrr! The wind and humidity makes it feel much colder than it actually is. I was "suppose" to go to Montreal to have dinner with a friend but she checked the weather last night and said it was best I wasn't on the road. A true friend! I'm so not a weather checker! So thankful I have friends that do!

Filled up my bird feeders and water hole when I arrived home from Fibre. Both feeders are buzzing with birdy activity. I suppose they need to fuel up for the cold evening ahead. I love birds!

Off to go make a cup of tea to warm up a bit! Cheers!

Ours is the same Carole but it's great working inside on days like this. When spring finally comes I get spring fever and want to be outside.

I woke up this morning to a thunder storm! I LOVE a good thunderstorm!!! It is a perfect day to spend indoors with the family. We are all still sick - Hubby was actually diagnosed with bronchitis yesterday, so though sick, we will enjoy being together as a family.

Hope hubby feels better soon, and the rest of you, too! Our weather has been crazy, today we were in downpours and thunder. Mostly very cold, they are really worried about the peach trees around here.

Happy Day!
