We had a lot of rain yesterday and woke up this morning to a lovely blue sky, now we are back to grey, boo!
Well have a nice day all!

Was at North Myrtle Beach the past three days and it was 70 and windy! Drive 4 hours inland and came back to humid and 80. Nothing makes the beach bad! Maryellen

So far the bad thunderstorm is staying southwest of Paris. Marilyn is the storm near you?

Sara, we got up to a drippy humid day. At 10:00 we left home to drive to town, stopped at the Post Office, then on to Walmart. We got rained on going into the store thru the garden centrality 10:30????...but then the bottom fell out and it poured and the Thunder rumbled...not for a quick shower, but it was still doing it's thing when we left the store around 11:45.I have not checked the rain gauge because up until 1:00 pm it was still lightening...fierce long streaks. We are still in a tornado watch until 5pm. They put us in it at 2:27am,first time I have missed an alert from the police dept. I was sound asleep!

Sara, I just looked at weather bug radar and looks like you are in stormy weather mode. Praying that your power remains on, and you stay safely inside.

Marilyn the forecasted bad storm never reached Paris - it stayed west of us. We got heavy rain but no hail or really high winds. Just the normal 30 mph. I did lose power for a split second and the lights came back on. Cable TV, internet, and phone stayed off for over an hour but it came on just in time for me to watch Father Brown on PBS out of Dallas.

Well girls, I'm glad we all survived that round of weather. My son ate lunch with us and when I asked if he heard about the tornados in Nebraska, he began telling us about the 5am and 7 am storms that hit to our southwest. I asked him to call us if we get any more middle of the night alerts, since I slept right through that one. He said the storms coming at us this week are bad.then he commented on how the weather forecasters have really gotten good about predicting these storms.I
I used to call them weather guessers...but recently NOAA has been right...both on timing and severiity. Let's be safe and check on each other.God bless everyone!

Please take care ladies. It was very hot he4e today. While humid anyway. Again tomorrow and then back to some nice 70s days. I'm not complaining because we've had a lot of rain and the warm sun feels good.

We have a beautiful day today, it cleared up for the moon to come out even if I couldn't wait to watch it get high in the sky, It was still beautiful behind the trees.
The best I could get it was bigger than it looked.

hugs all.

High wind, it came at daylight so it is about six hours ahead of schedule...supposed to get up at noon. Humidity is so high but no rain...yet. If it someday gets hot enough to turn the a/c on...it may take a half day to get the humidity out of here. Our doors close and open reluctantly these days!

Thank you Sara,
Is everyone ok? I heard a tornado hit in Pennsylvania! And looking at Texas and Oklahoma and those areas!
Be careful!
Love you all!

Debbie, I've always heard it runs from May thru September...often overshadowed by Hurricane season.2 and 1/2 years ago a devastating tornado hit Rowlette Texas, just northeast of Dallas, the day after Christmas. So now that our weather is so crazy...I think they do happen year round. Today is so humid, it could be a Twister day...somewhere. Afternoon heating helps them along. Also they seem to be moving more to the north and east???!!!???

Well, what a difference 24 hours makes. We continue to have wind, a cool wind, but today is Sunny too! Thank goodness we did not have any bad storms. I hope those folks North and West of us are all ok.
